I am searching for a program, kinda like Gamespy3d. It takes way to long on my 56k for me to refresh the whole server list. Does anyone know any programs alike Gamespy3d, that refresh fast for 56k?

Psy, have you tried creating a Smartspy list? This will let you retrieve only those servers based on game type, mode, map or location. Dramatically reduces the amount of servers you want to look at.

Why anyone on 56K would want to use a programme like that i dont know. If u just print out the list of bw or by IPs you can connect to game servers through console which is way faster. If you want to search for someone or a clan or view a certain server www.serverspy.net is much faster

Add the barrysworld master server to gamespy:

Right click on game tab (eg halflife), select "add master server list"

Internet address: hlmaster.barrysworld.com port: 27010

For some reason I cant seem to do this in the all seeing eye, which is a shame as it is a much better program in every other respect.

add teh bw master then create a filter to only show cs servers.

Then u can refresh just thoose few servers in the list.

What version is that? If you mean Gamespy Arcade, I have it. But it is BAD for games, no easy use of filters, and it's full of crappy lag-making adds

I have the non register version - trial version and it does everything you have mentioned. I also have a 56k modem, yes it does take a while to update the first time round, how long i think can depend on your processor speed - made a hell of a lot of diifference from a 500P3 - 1.4athlon.

Once you saved the first update definately make a favs list. (ctrl-t to refresh list) As for the lag-making adds i get one at the start.

I like my gamespy does everything i need.

i got non registered version too,and my masterserver option is greyed out too,for half life and c.s , but not for q2 or q3 or ut.
why dont u make a list of like 20 servers u use,put 'em on favourites then just refresh them?if ur refreashing the whole half-life list on gspy 3d it must take u an hour or so,and for what purpose? most of the servers ur never going to go to anyway?
SO. 20 servers,all favourites,just refresh them.:)

In my favourites, what I want is all the Jolt, Uk2, Barrysworld and Blueyonder CS, DoD, and TFC servers. This is would take too long to put in by hand, about what, 400 servers? This is why either I want text only lists of all Barrysworld servers IP's (got Jolt, uk2 and Blueyonder ones), or get the "Add Master Server" function working, so I can add the Barrysworld master

I had shouted at you in the first post, realised it wasnt you asking for the text only server list in the other thread, then realised it was YOU.

So anyway, why make two threads for the same thing.

Why are you constantly asking when you have already been told the answer.

Are you so ignorant you are ignoring the actuall replies?

fuck sake go use the http Hlmaster and copy and paste the ip's as you have been told several times.
