Many things can cause lag, including routing problems, slow / malfunctioning routers, and simply: Not enough bandwidth. The line you have is full and your packets have to wait. Why lag is worse, when people download 270megz files from goa with fast net connection? As you seen the speed of download were limited by the resources they had at server side. And it can cause lag. This is why I say using patcher and multiple smaller downloads can distribute the load, and can result is about constant bandwidth utilization. With downloadable installers, and reinstalls, NF, etc. you see what happens. Noone is gonna upgrade lines for a limited time problem. The only case when you benefit from expansions instead of patches is when you want publicity with a new release, a new title people want to talk about.
