This is really bugging me (shut up u poof dame bowers) cos i really, really, really hate q3 normally.

So at the mo i cant stop playing it - overload is my fave. The new prox gren aint all that powerful, although it can be used sneakily

The new trailers just look sweet....

Hopefully the whole thing is better

Give it time. Everyone thought the same of quake3 when it first came out, but after a few weeks saw how poor it was.

Maybe Giants or Monkey Island 4 would be better investments

im a CS addict, but LOVE playing RA3, its so simple and perfect, thats why. It works, is rewarding, and is simple.

brill game i reckon, and as it is, the q3 graphics engine is beutiful if used properly. Only problem is you cant really play as a modemer...

Same ere Frankie, I love RA3. I suck at it and always get raped but I still love it.

I think there is no doubt that when Quake3 was released it was an engine, not a game. However, if I was new to the online scene now, and looked at what has become of the various games, Q3 as a total package is fairly impressive with the various mods that have been released. Its also a good showcase for any spanking new hardware peeps get at xmas (I dont know anyone getting GF2's or Ultras to play CS). RA3, Q3F, WFA, Alliance etc are all cool mods that supplement the original. And although Team Arena will only supply what should have been available last xmas, it will be interesting to see what new features mod authors will incorporate into their mods. I know the CRT has stated that the next release of RA3 is all but ready waiting for 1.25 and promises some cool new ideas, and I think the Q3F team have said the same.

All in all, it should be a cool gaming Chrimbo
