Sorry to those that can't get this but, after seeing this, and despite the edits, this was a good piece of television programming.
I was homeless for two years - living on the streets and squatting. Didn't do the hostel bit though - too many stories of people losing teeth, fingers etc for me to even contemplate going in one, would rather have slept rough.
For me it's a bit of a kop out because you can't exactly stick a homeless person into a Big Brother situation - impossible and wouldn't give an idea unless you were doing it on a grander scale. But at least you get to what it does to the people involved.
