Where's the difficulty?
It's a topologically different object, it has a different circumference and a different surface area.
So basically this 'puzzle' is "How is it possible to make different shapes out of a bunch of objects", which is... well.
:p

Ok, so exactly same pieces, into the exact same shape, taking the exact same amount of space... but there's a hole. Mice. The answer is mice.

The top triangle isnt a triangle, actually a 4 sided shape, look at the bendy hyptonoose-ahippapotamusathingy

Bottom one has a straight long bit tho :)

It doesn't have any circumference as it's not circular. :p

As delket says though, neither are triangular. The top shape is a quadrilateral and the bottom shape is an octagon.

Same pieces, different shapes, same space... 2 out of three isn't bad though. ;)
