They are reallly really really slow sometimes, then sometimes not so bad. They've been pretty unusable recently though. :(

it's been running slower than a dinosaur in a tar pit on the hostname. the alternate IP number is very irregular speed wise, both from workies and home.
I've been putting it down to bad peering, but if you all notice it then it may be summat else.

edit: shut up cyfr

Dunno what people are moaning about. Was slow about 2 weeks ago for a couple of days, soon restored. Haven't had a problem in ages.

Phew, I thought it was just me. Though I don't get PM emails, or any auto-emails.

Sometimes it's been absolutely fine, other times it's taken a good minute or two to open a single thread whilst every other website's loaded perfectly fine. Don't have a clue whose problem it is though, but it's pretty intermittent and it's been fine for the past two days...touch wood.

The alternative works so well all the time. I know its a touchy subject, done to death, but maybe having the daoc forums seperate from the others would really speed things up.

The DAoC folk are (mostly) harmless folk. They're like fluffy bunny rabbits. It's just when the DAoC servers are down that it becomes completely and utterly mental.

Do you mean you dont have to bother with doing that with XP?

Or can anyone explain this for XP users as I obviously dont have a winnt directory

My advice would be to take your PC back to the shop you got it from and tell them that you are too fuckng retarded to use it.

If this doesn't appeal, I shall explain using simple words and big letters.

HE MEANS WHAT HE SAID TO DO WORKS IN 2K AND XP.

CHANGE WINNT FOR WOT YOUR WINDOWS DIRECTORY IS CALLED.

Hmm

This should be working fine. No mails are sat on the servers waiting.

It's just since you changed the Freddysmail program away from Horde/IMP. It's no big deal...I'd rather you fixed the "Subscribe to Forums" thing. ;)
