As far as Quakenet is concerned it's not 'your' nick, it's not anyone's nick. Whoever happened to /nick to it when no-one else had it owns it for the interim.

Unless your an ircop or friend of one. They can be arsed to save their own nicks.
Wonderful bunch of guys and can almost dress themselves.

Actually Brooky old chap, had a breakin to the garage and they trashed quite a bit, but they didnt notice a goody bag and some caps.
Sorry I forgot all about you after my long sojourn in the wilderness, I shall get my arse into the garage this weekend and see if I can rustle up some stuff for you.
Surely it'll be worth a fortune one day!
No?
Bah...

Anyway, more later this weekend (its cold and wet and the garage is a short walk away in a dark corner so I'm not going there now. This probably explains the trashing to some degree)

Ah yes, QuakeNet *does* have a clause in T&C or somesuch to the effect that all staff nicks are effectively protected and will be forcibly reclaimed.

And, yes, I'm not so naive as to believe that ircops won't help their friends out. As despicable as it is.

It was an odd break in too. Not many of us know they've had someone else going through their stuff, admittedly only in the garage, 300 yards from home.
Coming home I found BW beermats strewn across the street and kinda guessed. I had 7000 of them in the garage, and now I'm down to a mere 5000.
How will I cope.
Tshirt, caps etc gone too. I'm on the lookout for the best dressed chav garage burglars whenever I'm out.

Beermats ok Brooky? ;)

(yes yes, theres other stuff too)

They are formidable weapons. For that gang member looking to instill that extra bit of fear they would be a worthy steal.

well, I've seen them being used in anger :) bit hard to control though. Horus' home-brewed pepperspray was much more effective imo o0

Well of course the evil WMD that is pepper will beat a simple weapon like the beermat everytime. But chemical warefare is cheap and low. CHEAP AND LOW!

Flying chickens are also evil. Roast chicken is for eating, not throwing!

so true! chicken is far superior to peas when it comes to eating, thus I agree! peas are for throwing, chicken is for eating!
