What's the system requirements? (and what would you recommend)

Was wonder how the skill trees work, if there are any pre requirements in them or is it only to train multiple skills?

Was thinking of master marksman/master rifleman/master squad leader/ and 4 investigation.

Making me a suitable "sniper".

I play with an ati radeon 9100 , and amd 2200 with 512 kb ram and it still lags on lot of points. Settings are overall on medium detaills. I cant give you any recommendations.. only what i use myself.

As for the skills.

You have 6 basic proffesions, each cost 15 points to learn ( you got 250 total) and you lots of elite proffesions ( which cost 6 points to learn)

Within in each proffesion you have 4 trees that go can up to 4 skills 1 to 4. so 16 skills total. and ofcourse a master title you can achieve by getting all 16 skills.

To unlock several elite proffesions you need to have a certain amount of training in a basic proffesion. For example you want to be a master sharpshooter ( rifleman) you need to have basic proffesion marksman and you need to have the 4 skills in the rifletree. before you can become novice sharpshooter. Once you become novice you need all 16 skills in the sharpshooter elite proffesion to become eventually master in that proffesion.
but you can also choose to only spec 1 tree and not beceme master.

There are several elite proffesions that require training in more then one basic proffesion before you can unlock that.

you can go to the following link for more info: swg.allakhazam.com
lots of info and char builders there.

One thing I would *strongly* recommend is getting as much RAM as you can afford. I was playing with 512mb and it was laggy as all hell, upped to 1gb and it's LOADS better now. Also makes alt-tabbing out about 100 times faster.

As for the skills, have a play with the character builder and you'll soon see how it works.

I ran it in closed beta (when the servers were v.v.crowded) on a p3 800 gf4mx with 512meg ram ;) it was fine everywhere but the more populated cities, still playable even there though.
