..hmmkay?

Since allot of you people were saying before New Frontiers came, that the old frontiers that were stil lactive by then, needed replacement, due some frontiers were totally empty and some were overcrowded.

And now at New frontiers, were all frontiers are beeing crushed, you guy's are saying that the docks and bridge camping is bad..

Now here's my question: "How would have u designed the new frontiers" .
I think that would be intresting to see:)

hmm, i think porting to own frontier keeps is ok, but not to enemy frontiers.. :x

1 dock / realm (near border keep) and only 2 keeps to port to (for hib lets say Bolg and Crauchon).

I wouldnt of changed a thing ^^

Cept maybe give the home realm the ability to port from their border keep to a midway keep to save on run time and then left the actual landscape etc alone.

i _think_ this gets fixed next patch, even if alb gets DC, we cant port to hibland etc

New landscape is more interesting. It's just porting that buggers it - so roll on 1.71 :D

- per realm only 2-3 zones (not 4)
- 1-2 "neutral" zones in the middle (where the ocean is): neutral zone doesnt contain any keeps and the realm war map doesnt work there (fog of war)
- revamping of the realm war map: only the inferior (number wise) realm of a particular fight gets an indication on the realm war map. For instance 2fg hibs against 5fg albs: only hibs will see where the fight is; 2fg albs against 5fg hibs: only albs will see where the fight is. (Also works with 3 realm fights: either only the weakest or the 2 weakest realms should see the fight)
- relic bonus tied to population (ie higher population results in lower relic bonus)
- lots more but cba to think about it now

I would've removed the ability to port from the portal keeps (hmm?). Instead, the portal stones would've been at the closest keep. That would've left assassins with atleast a few more stragglers :)

Would probably also aid in relic raids, as taking that keep would severely hinder the defending realm.

Something added into that big water zone between the realms, seems a big area so much waste.

Don't like being able to port into enemy realm area, should use boats, beable to port in your own realm still tho, help with defence.

Regular relic resets, so one realm doesn't hog them all the time, lets say about every 4 weeks. Have some story about the gods interfearing etc.

alltho i didnt like the idea of NF i must admit its quite wicked.

area are alot bigger. no points like amg where you as "solo" could have trouble getting past, i know brigdes are an isue now alltho i never had problems with it, just swin past it :D

and the fact that you atm can port to hibbie land if you have a keep with all towers is nice. just saves you from waiting on a boat :D

so all in all i like NF

flat area, no keeps , no relics, no guards, no hills, no bridges maybe some tree´s maybe not. well remove everything from NF what is fun for roleplayers and daoc is worth playing again

I would prefer a mix of OF/NF, but closer to the old one, so I would make the following changes to OF:

- Remove milegates.
- Make the terrain more interesting, like NF, with ruins, bridges etc.
- Make emain/odins/hadrians suitable for instant action, but instead of milegates make interesting terrain (with no chokepoints).
- Patrol guards should only roam near keeps, thus giving players a chance to venture deep into enemy frontiers, and fight enemy players uninterrupted by patrol guards.
- The "patrol free" areas should have interesting terrain (bridges, ruins, passages, forests etc) and no chokepoints (ie. multiple routes).
- Keeps should be like in NF, but with no towers around them.
- A few scattered towers, and maybe guarded bridges or other structures, would be a fun addition to the OF (you should not be able to claim them). This would allow smaller groups to camp them and have some fun for a little while.

U port to Arena zone and can chat with every1 etc challenge eachother or do random fights...is this too stupid or? it sound abit CS Qish but think it would roxor to have somthing like that.
players watch and w8 for turn.

etc etc ...something number controlled fighting for once, just imo.

If they could have designed a system or tournament`s like that i think it could keep many interested to have acc open.
