Thought I'd share some basic EU stats for daoc.
I wrote a small script that fetched all data for me so I have it neatly tucked away in a database.

I probably could dig out a lot more, but I'm not sure what ppl is interested in...

Only one problem with the stats at present, is that it returns guilds that have 1+ Rank 9 people in it that are inactive... e.g.

Guild "Par 5"
with 1 member:
"Caddy Shack" Level 5 hero Rank 9.



That kind of thing...

Some of our guilds are doing pretty well overall when you consider the French/German servers opened earlier than us and have much larger populations. It is great to see the populations of each server though :

Prydwen is actually a bit more balanced than Excalibur (at least in terms of not having one hugely overbalanced realm now Midgard has been tamed a little). It is interesting to note that Alb still gets called a zerg on our little server when they don't actually have a very big population advantage (only something like 10%). And if you look at high level characters (those that actually have an impact in RvR) Midgard still has the advantage.

There are quite a few Albs on Excalibur however, I personally blame our effectiveness in beta causing all those fools who get sucked to the winning realm to jump ship

How about trying to figure something out about realm balance from all this data..

Total RP of all three realms across all 9 servers:
Albion 333837238 89%
Hibernia 359019665 96%
Midgard 375377227 100%

This actually came as a bit of a shock.

According to these numbers, RvR actually is in much better balance than one would have expected. Difference between 1st and last place is about 11% which is not all that much. Also, hibs seem to do quite well. That is quite different from the picture we see on Prydwen alone, where albs have 66% or mid rp’s and hibs merely 35%.

Population balance seems to be a bit more out of whack:

Albion 56947 100%
Hibernia 43213 76%
Midgard 47053 83%

And now average RP (total RP / population)
Albion 5862 70%
Hibernia 8308 100%
Midgard 7977 96%

Notice how the least populated realm seems to have highest RP efficiency? Could that for most part be due to any given hibbie simply having more targets to kill? If that is not the case then Mythic’s decision to improve hibernian classes in later patches (to compensate for population imbalances) seems a bit misguided as they already are the most effective killers in all 3 realms.

Exactly. Your rampage in late beta caused two effects: a) many floaters drifting to albion and b) those remaining true to midgardian banner getting extremely mobilized in the early stages right after the release. The floaters soon left albion, while the initial success of midgard is still reflected in the RP totals. Hence midgard doing relatively better on Prydwen than on other servers. Could be, of course, that we mids are just all so uber..
