A little while ago myself and a kind guildy did the Winged Helm quest..which ended up being bugged..due to the fact that nobody could pick up the helm when it dropped(a few others from different guilds were there to hitting on Hermes). Even though my guildy got in the last hit. None of us got any credit for it either, so..i sent a right now and luckily had a chat log of the incident to prove we were actually there. To my surprise they answered fairly quickly with this reply

Thank you for the report, we will investigate the reported issue with this encounter. We cannot grant encounter credit however, to some degree we have to rely on the game mechanics as they are implemented. We focus our efforts on identifying and, when possible, fixing the problems and should you have any more information regarding the circumstances under which this encounter is causing problem, please report them, it may speed up investigation and a possible fix.

Yours sincerely,

Nice, i thought. Will see what they say/do now. Checked it today and the status has been set to solved. What the hell did they do to solve it ??..bloody nothing. Customer services suck crap at the mo (well, for a long time). Would have been nice if they could at least have allowed us the credit for doing it. No way i am gonna do that crap again, had my Armsman sat there for ages. Logging on occassionally to see if he was up. Thanks GoA/ Mythic..whoever the hell they are. Just another reason to keep me playing my X-box and not playing my armsman. :twak:

As the answer said, we cannot grant encounter credit so there would be no noticeable result to you from submitting the report.
What we do do however is take the reports like these and feed them to the technical guys who try to replicate the problem and figure out why the encounter can be bugged in the first place. Then we work with Mythic to fix it for future encounters.
So yes, as far as your character was concerned the question is 'solved' as there is nothing we can do to help him directly.

Understandable..but i was a bit miffed about waiting for that long for something i really wanted...now it has put me right off trying for it again. Hopefully it has/will be fixed so it doesnt happen to anyone else. Also, that was a damn fast reply...you got me tapped or something...or do you have a filter like the authorities so when a bad word is said, ie, "mythic/goa sooks"..you are down on us faster than Monica Lewinsky at a Presidents convention? heh guess you missed the customer relations class. treating customers like that wont win you much support. and yes i can understand that you cant do anything (give credit/item etc) but a pre written fob off isnt exactly top draw customer services or a real answer to the original query.
We all know that if a bug is found with the actual game design there is nothing much Goa can do so nothing much happens for 6 months at least (it takes you this long to translate into french/german/klingon and back to english again) and we get the latest patch (which may or may not fix the bug) There are still holes all over every zone that make you port back to your bind point....the ones in Coruscating mines were there for 2 years before they were fixed.

Dont get me wrong things are getting much much better on the comunication front but i dont think telling people to move along is very professional.

I dont know maybe you are having a bad day.

raven - "nothing sinister, nothing to see, move along citizen...." is a joke you know.. and nothing to do with the bug report. He's referring to himself being online lurking...

Now if you go to the US servers and /appeal a bug in the game it'll get forwarded to the dev team and your appeal will be closed. Same thing happened here.

They replied. They explained. They were going to investigate. However, they told you that credit or loot could not be awarded due to game mechanics. Why can't you take their reply at face value?

A lot of people seem to be complaining on Goa's customer servies. I just wonder, is it really better somewhere else anyway?

I have been working in customer support business for something over 2-3 years now, in two different companies. I can tell you the one where I worked before was a lot worse than GoA (I didn't have anything to do with that, I swear :D ). I changed company, and it's still the same. And I've been in personal contact with several customer support services.

None were better or worse than GoA, actually.

I have had pretty good service from rightnow, on occasions where I've had bugged items they have been fixed quickly once they had adequate information. They have not always restored items that I felt we were entitled to (like bugged Medusa, bugged Bane etc etc) but it does not = poor customer service just because you don't get the outcome you want.

Raven please, give up with the GOA bashing. Requiel replied explaining why Heath got the answer he did, then he replied in a lighthearted manner about him being on the forums.
He is human afterall. Personally i'd rather that he broused the forums and interacted with the community as he does, rather than just sit in GoA offices changing peoples bad lastnames and all the other stuff they do.
I'd much rather a human response rather than the sort they use on SWG customer help where practicly everything they say is scripted/from a script.
