Ok - for the last 2 days on my mincer i am on a no add strike ... yesterday around 8 PM Tuesday i was at hibs agramon bridge mindin my own buisness wen i saw 2 prydwen toons attack Blizzard ( rr 7 vamp ) so i thought they wud get this vamp quite easy, obiously not i stand there and watch the fight as both albs die to 1 vamp, so i do a /beckon and /clap ( beckon for a duel wen he gets full HP and /claps for taken out 2 kitted out infils at same time )

Don’t try to please ppl you don’t know. If you don’t know them then do whatever you feel like. Add whenever you feel like adding.
When I bump into a 1 vs 1 on my WL I usually stop and watch the fight. If the alb/hib is winning I’m helping the mid (a chamber and a few nukes if needed).
The mid might be thankful that I helped him or he might be pissed that I "leeched" ruined their 1 vs 1. And tbh I don’t give a F...

hehe yer - blizzard is a hard ass vamp i was actually suprised i got him to 1 % hp b4 i died but was a respectful fight - and yer - i respect 1v1 fights and i like watchin a fight even if the alb dies, but personally i think people that feel the need to 'zerg' have a stressfull life and just want to kill everything insight to let out there anger... im quite a chilled guy and i found that the people who solo have the nice attitude - well accept for beeks he zergs !!!111!11! but also he has a sense of humor lol

if in doubt, ask them before you add, personally its better to let someone lose an unintentional 1v1 that to interfere in a duel, we all die some times and its as good a time as any to learn

If someone is that shit that they need to get help from other people when they are soloing or duoing, then they need to rethink their chars.. end of the day /ignore is your friend

Having said that, I think you're right about this one - the 2 albs didn't ask for help and died so got no right to complain. Personally, if I come across an alb fighting I'll ask them if they want help. If they say yes I'll join in, if they say no or nothing I leave them be.

Had a similar but much more polite discussion with a merc yesterday over the same issue after he called a scout an xrealmer for asking his group not to add on and steamroll a couple of soloers at occ bridge at 1:30 in the morning.

Anyway it came down to the fact that the merc considered every enemy, even rr3 solo heros to be a significant threat to his group and fellow albs, and could not risk sparing them; whilst I would rather a couple of soloers who are blatantly only there for 1v1s live so that I could potentially get an enjoayble 1v1 fight later, and also keep their respect so they would most likely not add on me in the future, thus giving me a far larger overall gain than the few RPs I'd get from adding.

But I guess for certain guilds that regularly run FGs yet never even attempt 8v8, adds will never me much of an issue as they will never have the experience of having a challenging and fair fight ruined.

Reason I won't help people like that when I'm running solo is because I can expect getting added on later on by the same guy.

So a cleric getting stuffed by a vampire (yes it happens from time to time at the docks) who asks for your help wouldn't get it because it's 1 v 1. It's one thing letting a 1 v 1 go, it's another when someone actively asks for help with you stood there and you don't. Point is just because it'sa 1v1 doesnt make it a fair fight, or stop someone needing help.

Incidentally, how did you first get to level 50, complete your mls, epics, even some of your artifacts perhaps? I expect it was with the help of other people in the realm. It's all very well taking the stand you do, but would have been interesting if everyone else in the realm took the same attitude to you when you needed their help in other circumstances. But then again, it ain't k00l to help realm mates (that would be r0leplaying right?) so no worries.

And yes, you pay you're subs so I sure wouldnt tell ya how to play, but I can tell you what I think of it
