Well I have decided to return to DaoC and Hibernia but unfortnately i am not very reliable for group work some of the time as i am on call to do with my Job.

So i am wondering what class/specc is good for soloing but can fit into groups on the rare occasion i have time off.

Thanks in advance :)

*apart from a mana chanter - :O*

Mana chanter. Loved in groups & easy to solo.

bard

just ask random people who are 20 lvls higher to join o/

edit: mana eld, gets the same pbaoe as a chanter in next patch and has str/con debuff and funky bolt for bg :)
edit edit: mana/light menta, dot or nuke for soloing, powerreg for groups

Mana eld, or mana mentallist may be a good idea if you don't want to play a mana chanter :p

I would suggest the tank classes, but they seem to be having trouble finding groups recently - as most groups focus pull (chanter ability) now, which doesn't require any tanks :/

I've never played the healer classes, but I'd think they'd have to rely on groups

That's all that comes to mind atm, good luck :)

Warden is also good. You get groups easily since they all want PBT and you can solo very reliably from lvl 26 up. (albeit abit slower than most classes, its alot safer)

*edit* especially next patch when u can get mastery of Blocking on top of mastery of parrying.

Ranger or Void eldritch, both mainly solo bots, imo work well in grps too (but by the looks of my attempts to grp the ranger my opinion differs from most peeps :p)

Having tired a few solo I would recommend a void eld. They already arguably the best soloers, the comming patch will make them even better.

Or a manachanter, youll be able to solo almost as well as void eld and have the added advantage of always being able to find a group.

If you've got the time, patience and somebody to finance you through the first 30 levels then I'd say Ranger is a worthwhile class to solo. Only real problem is the cost of those FFB's. It is worthwhile getting your fletching up so you can make these yourself and then you should always be able to afford to solo.
