Mikey posted something about getting to know Solaris/Sun and as I'm doing much the same I thought I'd post an update on where I am so m00.

Just finished SA-I [or Systems Administration I] and it was pretty cool. All the generic unix stuff was old hat, but the Sun-specifics were new and fun.
Glad I skipped the 'Fundamentals' course tho, as I have a slight unix background [linux] I believe it wouldn't have done me any good.

Doing SA-II in a week, and something evil called 'Veritas [isn't that for *shudders* mainframes -ooh er don't let the good Rev'nd Flatus hear me diss the big boxes :D] File System Administrator after that.
The future looks pretty bright hehe, and I'll prolly be taking several courses on the subject. [anything as long as it's not java =PPP]

So, that what I'm up to :) Down side for me is that I won't be dropping in very much in the coming weeks :(

yay :D SA-I completed wheee. As I commented above, the Sun related stuff was great to learn, but the rest of the generic unix thingys was known [thank goodness :)]

SA-II in one weeks time hehe. Two exams after that [dum-de-dum-dum :D]
In the meantime I'll be studyin' and tryin' not to be drinkin' too much beer :D

I believe it's kind of a throaty warbling noise. Kind of like someone dying and coughing up phlegm at the same time.

it's closer to a blend of the sounds made by a cow and a goose. at least, that's on the word of my older brother who went to bolivia and sat on one. but he's known to exaggerate a little.
