Saw a "WTF is" from TotalBiscuit about this game and it was so weird i just had to buy it...

And for some really fucked up reason i quite like it.....

Oh it is, but it's getting seriously hard when you run around with 2 suns and 15:ish planets all spinning around, especially the "combat" where you fight other solar systems are really intense as one mistake could very well wipe out all your planets. Rendering hours of work a waste if you forgot to save...

Doesn't linux have some sort of windows emulator to run games on by the way?

oh, yeah, prolly, but I cba to fiddle with it. I'll prolly be installing a doze for the games anyway. I miss them, and playing endless rounds of Freedroid doesn't really cut it.

I had a go of the demo.
It's okay, but you're limited to a small sun with a maximum mass of 1499. I managed to play billiards with planets and knock a binary system and it's planets into a black hole.

That was cool.

That's the main goal of the game iirc, to become a black hole and swallow the entire universe...

Haven't gotten that far myself tho, i'm having far to much fun playing galactic war with other solar systems
