Socket Error?!

Works fine on my main pc, but not on my laptop

Exact Error message:

If you are on W2K+ OS, I suggest you to simply re-install the network stuff.

So on in control panel, select your network interface, then its properties ; delete TCP/IP, MS Network and Printer/files sharing, reboot and let Windows rebuild this for you.

You might have to do some more parameters (such as setting a fix IP for instance if your ISP furnish you this service, check the FAQ about connection on your ISP website).

I am indeed running Win2k (pro), and the pc connects to the net through a ADSl router...

guess I'll have to do the grubby reinstalling of protocols
