Change the layout? These forums work like 10 times better than the official ones for me. Now I can understand some people don't like the colour green, but in terms of functionality and layout I think these forums could one shot gank the old ones
If it's about not having gfx sigs well that's a minor thing. You can have a small avatar after 20 posts though.
He you have lots of nice smilies, easier navigation between forums, buddy lists and you can see if someone is online or not. Also you can take a look in the forums for any other game you might happen to like that has a forum here...
