Say Chelsea bought all the Worlds top players, who would you play?

Personally,

Cech
Gallas
Terry
Rio Ferdinand
Roberto Carlos
Ronaldinho
Gerrard
Lampard
Beckham(still one of best corssers in the game)
Henry
Rooney

Roberto Carlos is shit now. He's such a twat for knocking up all that speculation "Yeah, Chelsea want me".

Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that Real Madrid are getting a new president in, and all the old farts will have nowhere to go :p

And tbh i'd rather have Joe Cole than Beckham.

Defo swap out Roberto Carlos for Gabriel Heinze. Apart from that your team could take on anyone in the world and have at least a 50/50 of winning. It warms the heart to see so many of those names are Premiership players. I would love to see a comptetion where the best players from each league in Europe represent the national federation they play their domestic football under. The English Premier League would be very serious contenders for that everytime.

Just off the top of my head, could probably find someone better than Campbell and Gallas and Christiano if I tried :)
Probably also someone better than Cicinho, he is good though.

I have been saying that a competition like this would be awesome for years now :)

Cicinho is fast but his final ball into the box is woeful.

Another great side and imagine having Iker Casillas, Christiano Ronaldo, a Ryan Giggs of 1998, Shevchenko, Puyol and Lampard as your subs :D

Even as a Man Utd fan,

i have to say, Ronaldo is toss, and until he improves (which he is very capable of doing) he has no spot in my squad :>

Would rather have
Casillas, Ferdianand, Makelele, Lampard, Simao, Shevchenko

on the bench ofc :>

Gallas is a fullback, and he wants to leave Chelsea cos he's been playing rightback all season. Gotta think of your players Tasslehoff! :D

Yeye, I'm the manager of Chelsea, and if he plays with happiness it's all good. If he doesen't... He'll get the bench.

People are forgetting Ballack and Shevchenko, who are most likely to play for them, all the other plays are either speculation or have been turned down...

Cech

Ferreira Terry Gallas Del Horno
Makelele
J. Cole Lampard Ballack Robben

Shevchenko

Is likely to be their lineup next year, unless Shevchenko doesn't come, my dream team would be.....

Goalkeeper: Buffon, probably about as good as the others, just personal preference.
Right Back: Cafu, an engine, he may be old, but he has so much energy.
Centre Back: Terry, great tackler and leader
Centre Back: Stam, aka, The Wall.
Left Back: Heinze, very commited and good tackler

Defensive Midfielder: Makelele, great tackler, a good holding player, best passer in the world.
Centre Midfielder: Ballack, amazing technique, nice shot on him, and I like him alot :p
Centre Midfield: Gerrard, unquestionable work-rate, works like an engine.

Left Wing: J. Cole, great ability to get round players.
Right Wind: Ronaldhino, a complete player.
Striker: Shevchenko, simply the best in the world atm..

Im sorry dude but your wrong, Shevchenko is not the best striker in the world at all at the moment.

Makelele best passer in the world omfg do you actually watch football, he never passes the ball more than 15 yards, Zidane, Beckham, Gerard, Lampard the list goes on for better passers of the ball.( I do have him in my squad though because he is the best player of his position in the world.)

Ballack would not get in ahead of Lampard either how could you drop Chelsea's top goalscorer and most consistent performer of the last 2 season?

Del horno the speical one wants him gone from the club so I doubt he will be in left back :p

There is no way of measuring who is better than who, its generaly my own opinion. It is all down to personal preference, and I believe Shevchenko is the best striker in the world. Makelele, imo, is the best passer. Ofc, to the simple mind he won't be, but those who watch football will know that even a short pass, good vision is essential to a team. If you see how Makelele glues Chelsea together, then maybe you would be able to make a point. As I said, I prefer Ballack, because I like him better than Lampard, you cannot say he is better than Ballack because there is no way of proving that, and vice versa. From what I have seen, and surely many will agree that Ballack is a far better shooter than Lampard, unless you judge good shooting on lucky deflections.

I can't believe some of you are putting in Ashley Cole ahead of Heinze. I am sorry but I will admit Cole is a great player, he bombs down the left like a madman and creates alot for Arsenal BUT the guy is not totally solid defending, in any other defence he would really be struggling against a world class right winger. Yes I am a United fan so I am somewhat biased but I have to say that Heinze is the bravest and most natural left sided defender I have seen with my own eyes in 26 years of watching football. He will go for any ball he has even a sniff of getting, regardless of the danger to his own body, he has good pace and a cracking left foot when it comes to crossing. Very strong in the air as well. In my opinion he is the best left back in the world right now, certainly the best left back in England.

And if you where not a mank you would not rate heinze as much as you do and would rate cole higher like i do :) I would pick cole ahead of heinze because cole is a solid defender i have yet to see a player constantly make a mug of him in a game and he is alot better going forward imo. So total player Cole is better for my money. But i am a gooner :)

Heinze is wank....imo ofc. But the times ive seen him (which is probably just as many times as your typical man u fan who actually never go to the games) he has done nothing to impress me. Except getting skinned by Leon Osman \o/

As for Shevchenko. imo ofc, i would say Eto'o and Henry are in front of him. Eto'o is absolute class. Id say he is better than Henry but only because henry cant head the ball.

heinze is good mate, not as good as cole. cole is probably worth twice as much. i do agree heinze is more solid at defending but cole is the more complete player for that pos. playing full back now days has a lot more to it than defending.
spose it all comes down to what style of football u want your team to play, offencive or defensive. ofc this only imo :)

Cristiano Ronaldo, left winger
Steven Gerrard, midfield anchor
Ronaldinho, in front supporting the strikers
Kaka, right winger

Something like that.

Edit: That was without seeing your lineup, Marc. -.-
