I think from all this feedback its now offical that the better Graphics card you have, the better fps and less jittering you will get (i thought Riva TNT2 vanta's were good for games when i brought it last year)
Unfortunatly i havn't got an agp slot for this so its PCI for me which i hear isnt "that" different to agp...
well thanks guys for all ya advice !! i hope when i buy this new card itll be back to FRAGGING targets i can clearly see, rather than looking for the biggest mass of bodies and firing a rocket and hoping it hits lol ......

CANT WAIT TO GET CABLE IN TWO WEEKS NEITHER WAhhhoooooooooOOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOo :)

I think your the victim of terrible ping ....... as well as not too good fps mate. If you replace your gfx AND get cable ........ your'll be laughing.
In the longterm, think about replacing your motherbaord with something that has an agp slot. It's prolly best to wait till you have a bit of cash, cos 9/10 times mobo changes are best done with a cpu change too in my experience and can become a bit pricey.

yeah i am saveing for my upcomeing mobo/CPU change although i am not going for top notch. Getting Abit KT7 and AMD Duron 800. Works out at over £200 with fans etc

Last i looked you could get a abit kt7, and a tbird 1 gig for about 240 ish, why the duron. Them dam tbirds droped right down in price, i payed nearly double that when i bought my kt7 raid 1gig combo:p

Btw Q3=geforce full stop, the pesky V5's might do the trick but the geforces will do the trick, when q3 came out i ran a 256 DDR, at 70-80 fps, at 1024 res, not at 32bit though, but hey that was only on a P3 450;) another thing, don't even think about the ultra, wait for the NV20, im holding out on a GTS till them mothers get released, 128mb, ffs thats insane:D

Well if the T-bird/KT7 is only 240 then the Duron will be lower meaning i can update my graphics card to a Gephorce with T&L and get even better performance because my CPU won't be clogged with other shite.

Anyway, i wouldn't get a T-bird since i am low on cash. Well i wouldn't put it low on cash but i am 16 and I am competeing in the SAMS Mountainbike series this year (and i did last year) and spending the amount of money on my bike that i have to, soaks up about 95% of my income :)

MrM: so tell me why me brand new Marzocchi Z5 Flylight forks (only cheap but who cares) are leaking oil everywhere, especially over me front rim where the brake pads touch? Stopping is good fun... part of the wheel is clean, part is soaked in oil, so I kinda jerk as the wheel turns when I'm braking and it locks up @ the front easily now when the pads hit the clean bit of the wheel.. lol :D

You will find that the mazochi z5's will leak oil as they have an undersized oil bath (although this was fixed). still it shouldn't be leaking as much as you say if it is that. Do you have a sock over the fork legs? most marzocchi forks don't (little rubber thing that covers the upper legs) If not you can buy one pretty cheap. I have a frame protector called Frame sox, there is an item similar which is ued to cover the upper legs but i don't know what it is called. This will also prelong the fork life as you won't get as much poop into the fork.

"so I kinda jerk as the wheel turns when I'm braking and it locks up @ the front easily now when the pads hit the clean bit of the wheel"

lol over the bars jobbie? :)

If you cover up the forks it should soak up any oil and stop oil leaking onto the rim.

TIP* rub your wheel rims with sandpaper and ride about 1/4 of a mile with your brakes on, this puts rubber into the grooves and effectivly increases breaking power. Assuming you are useing V type brakes, if your useing disks then forget it, you'll knacker them :)

Thats £10 please :)

also i know someone with a pair of Rock shox boxxers (8" of travel) worth £1000 and they broke when he went over a speed bump, lol. He got them replaced free though.

Cheers for tha reply.. lol :D

Nah I aint got socks on 'em... me m8 used to use 'lizard skins' on his but methinks both those and the rubber socks look shite when dirty ;)

I don't go over the bars... which is cool, but then again I aint tried it in the dry yet!!! England is wank.. lol

I have Continental Explorer tyres, sposed to be good - bit shit IMO, specially on tarmac :) They just lock up @ the front and I go sliding all over the place... methinks I have mastered front wheel skids now tho!

Cuz of the weather I aint been using me bike much, so the forks are new and have been standing!! But everytime I wipe them, oil still finds a way out... and when u give 'em some flexin' they make no noise then squelch like fuck, maybe there is too much oil in there??

Heh me brakes are Shimano LX's I think from 1999, work fookin well, loads better than me m8s posh avid things which he managed to break. Mine are well sharp, cheapo pads but they seem to be mint powerwise!

lol speakin of broken forks, me m8 brought some Pace RC36 Evo's (I think) for 400 notes, a week later he twatted a tree stump dead hard, bent one of the stantions (I think), the steerer tube and some internal shit. Pace charged him 170 quid to repair so they cost him 570 all in! Plus a new steerer, which he fucked, so another new steerer is on now!!!

All I've broke on mine since I've had it (2 yrs now, tis only a Trek 830 but I aint no hardcore rider) is me bottom bracket and a few pairs of tyres :D

:).

This might sound dumb but make sure your tires are on correctly, it should have an arrow with rotation direction. Soz if you have done it, don't mean to insutl your intelligence :).

You could try cleaning then re-greaseing your forks but it is a messy job. You can buy special fork grease but they charge a hellovalot for it because it comes in a fancy tub. Just use a high profile non lithium based grease (otherwise it goes all grey and runny). Only spray a small amount of oil on the upper legs afterwards so it sits in the oil bath.

To clean it I just use a wire brush with a long handle (like a bog brush but made with metal brushes) and stick it down there. If you don'tknow how to take your forks apart, it should be in the manual but there will be either a allenkey bolt on the bottom of the forks or where you adjust the tension in the forks (on top of the leg) you should be able to turn the entire mechanism and pull out the elastomers.

On my bike i have broken...
1 bottom bracket (although i stil have it in, the cranks move from side to side :))
2 dropouts (by getting rear mech stuck in wheel and the frame bending up into it)
1 seatpost
3 wheels
100's of assortments of cables and tyres.

Form my bike i have broken...
3 ribs
1 rib puncturing a lung
1 leg
Fell off and rolled over my arm but it didn't break, it just twisted so my bones in my left arm sort of spiral now :).
1 shoulder blade
and buggerd a knee, i have a lump that sticks out of my right knee.
I have also had my chainrings stuck in the back of my leg and i was bitten by a rot-weiler (if that is hw you spell it, damn german language).

Heh yeah me tyres are on the right way ;)

Me forks are brand new so are clean, but I mite service 'em anyways once it's warmed up a bit outside.

Me m8 got some special pace grease for his forks, fookin expensive but since he used that instead of normal lithium stuff my god, they're plush as hell!

If I fook my dropouts it's new frame time :( That's one thing I'd have liked, to have removable ones... I bust one of my old frames a few years ago when I bent a dropout, told the manufacturer tho, said they'd send a new frame and they sent a new bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only thing was it had shit parts so I put me good ones on and kept the others as spares, but then that bike got nicked, I brought me trek, then me spares got nicked too!!! Arses.. had loadsa cables which'd have saved me a packet too :(

Me back wheel is going methinks.. bit wobbly, tried tightening the cones but it still wobbles.. heh, tis a shimano acera hub I think, nothing fancy.

Christ m8 tis a wonder you're still alive :D One thing I'm good at tho is falling off my bike @ 2mph... HA! Beat that :D

Ahh I remembered now that I once ran into the back of a transit on a round about junction... I did one before he could catch me though... at least I know me bike can go around roundabouts quicker than a rolly polly transvestite van! :D
