So 1.83 landed in US. Do we have an e.t.a in EU?

Thinking of GOAs work on the latest patches and even managed to get us up on same patch I was just wondering aprox when we are gonna see 1.83 being worked on over here in EU.

I dont think we will get 1.83 here. GOA normally patch 2 patches together, so we will have to wait for 1.84.

GOA have to wait for mythic to actually code the patch over to european standards IE all the extra bells and whistles that are required (ie the hyphons and accents and stuff)


therefore its purley in the hands of mythic as to when goa can start the translation process.

If I remember correctly Mythic has already changed the code to "uni code" when they are doing the patches which makes the proccess much faster for GOA.

Think I read a post from Requiel about it.

I'd be supprised if goa get the files today, as mythic will doubtless be sorting out their own servers.
And surley you'd know from the 80 or so patches the game has gone through that goa dont like to give etas too soon, all that happens is when they find a bug that delays it, people whine.

Barely are the question raised, before the usual brigade of defenders arrive, ready to nitpick even the simplest question that might afront GoA.

But, the "defenders" forget one thing: This should not provoke GoA in any way!

They have stated the patching process are meant to be sped up. I would be highly surprised if the friday news doesn't contain something about the patch. Either an ETA, or just a simple mention that they have started the work and hope to have an ETA soon.


Afterall, it's only in the eyes of the brave defenders that it's a nasty action to ask if there is an ETA on the next patch yet. More reasonable people like GoA knows this is of interest to the community and are probably anxious to get a clear picture of the work ahead so they can keep the community informed as they usually try to do.

US patch day, or the day before a friday news. You find it silly for the community to show interest. I find it common sense we do.

Personally I hope they wait til 1.83 is fixed in US, like usual.

I'd hate it if we had fast but buggier versions, and had the servers up and down after it.

Version 1.83 soon under test
The next version will be released on the American servers next week. The tests on the European version should then begin in the coming weeks and we can therefore expect that it will be released on the European servers before summer.

That looks like an ETA for me there, last friday news. If you want dates however, I'd think you're in for a long haul.

I imagine once they've fixed all the issues (see the herald ) and have decided it's not borked we'll get the files and get patched.

Actually I think Azathrim is spot on.

You have both said, you doubt they will have gotten the files on US patch day, and also that it's obvious GOA will start work as soon as they got the files. All these curios minds then want, is just a little info on when will work start (i.e. according to you as soon as the files come).
