Oh man, when I lived in Newcastle, every year it snowed! I remember going ten pin bowling when it was sunny and when we came out 2 hours later it was like 6 inches deep!

Dude, go to the hyde park xmas market in the evenings, it's open till 10, and by about 8pm its full of pissed people dancing in the open.

Lots of german mulled wine, eggnogg, jaeger and good beers on sale for not a lot.

When i was at school we walked everywhere took me 40 mins to walk to school and we done it in snow that was almost knee height. None of this oh its a bit nippy best shut the schools

It's the last day of term, the reason for closing the schools is to keep drivers off the roads, too many parents will try and drop their kids in on days like this.

Also the school may be understaffed, they also need to consider what will happen if the weather gets worse. Remember the school is responsible for the kids, and in this day and age if accidents happen the parents are likely to sue.

at least you (probably) live in a decent house with decent heating - my apartment complex isnt being heated enough by a long shot, so im freezing indoors as well

heating?? whats that? we don't have central heating and only just got double glazing lol aand I've just been in the kitchen where I had to mop the ceiling rofl.

Fl3a my friend as a fellow inhabitant of a cold flat you have my greatest sympathy and I cannot recommend getting thermal underwear, long johns especially, enough!

Noticed so many complain about freezing apartments. What kind of third world country do you guys live in?! This is all so alien to me because i have moved around ALOT and never ever once had problem with heating.

Tho i visited a couple of friends in Germany who's house lacked central heating, i nearly perished and that was a month ago. How do ya manage?

my flat is shit for insulation and uses storage heaters.
i went and bought some radiators like a normal person though. i cant understand why you would force your self to live in the cold when its as simple as going to argos and buying a ten quid heater.

I live in a 400 year old house. Its cold as fuck in the winter but lovely and cool in the summer.
