One rules out the other..? How's the order?

Is it snare first and then root or root first and then snare?

castable snare grants root immunity
snare from styles can be spammed, and i don't remember if it gives root immunity or not

Druids have both snares and roots, so if I cast snare first he will be root immune afterwards?

Roots are just 99.9% snares. So if you are immune to one you will be immune to the other. So to answer your question: yes!

Melee snares are a bit different, if the target is immune they don't work but they don't give immunity themselves.

So the whole idea of giving druids both snare and root is redundant?

Sorry, for Druids its different, their snare is special in that it doesn't leave immunity so you can indeed cast snare then once that wears off cast root. In general that isn't the case though.

From the patch notes:
- A new snare spell has been added to the Nature Specialization line. This spell will not leave snare / root immunity on the target when removed.

Level 9 - Grasping Ivy - 2.5s cast / 20s duration / 60s recast - 1500 range - 50% snare (Matter) - 14 power

Level 19 - Grasping Tendrils - 2.5s cast / 30s duration / 60s recast - 1500 range - 50% snare (Matter) - 20 power

Level 29 - Grasping Creepers - 2.5s cast / 40s duration / 60s recast - 1500 range, 350 radius - 50% snare (Matter) - 27 power

Level 39 - Grasping Tangleweed - 2.5s cast / 50s duration / 60s recast - 1500 range, 350 radius - 50% snare (Matter) - 34 power

Level 49 - Grasping Thornweed - 2.5s cast / 60s duration / 60s recast - 1500 range, 350 radius - 50% snare (Matter) - 40 power

Snare nukes don't give a timer, but if something has already rooted that will give them immunity to snare....unless it's the snare nuke from the ani creeping shroom. This might get complecated.

To make matters even more complicated... ice wizzies get a 50% snare that doesn't set immunity.
