Smoking is still banned but they cannot enforce a fine.

Anyone caught smoking next to me will receive a punch in the gob :)

Why the hell are the local council responsible for it anyway?

Good old English bureaucracy

And you'll end up in jail for assault. That's slightly worse than your clothes whiffing a bit and you inhaling a little bit of smoke that will do you no harm.

Anyway, I might go back to Walkabout in Hanley, get rif of the smell of all those unwashed twats enjoying their clean air. Didn't smell even remotely clean to me.........

All the ban has done is to force smokers onto the street. Christ, you have to go into a pub now to get some fresh air ;)

except some pubs are finding they are having to use more air fresheners to mask the smell of the great unwashed which previously was hidden by the smell of smoke :p
