small rant towards hibbies !

Ok.. i dont whine much, nor am i very familiar with the standards of excalibur rvr, so lets clear that

but. tonight, there was a call to defend nottmoor faste from mids.
so me and my gf thought that was a good break from the toa-grind. so we headed midland.

when reached mid, we asked for a group, didnt receive one (not surprised on that, since our lvl and specs/class) so we headed out as a duo towards the keep.

just before reaching jamtland mountains, 1 fg hibs ran past, wich were on croc ring speed, so we asked; "Heya guys, you heading for nott? mind if we hop the ride (we had just yellow speed)"
2 seconds after that their AoE speed was dropped, and they left us, none replyed.
When we arrived at nott, the group who delibirately left us behind was defening.

Is this common among hibs here?? i wont say guild names.. cause i dont want this as a rant towards some people. But just wondering why.. they dropped AoE speed and left us.

its not like we were trying to leech RP's (if it was emain, and you were running your gankgroup setup etc, i could understand a "sorry we wana run 8vs8).
Not like we were trying to be leet with running with them. just a ride there to hook up with the guildies.
But i dont understand on leaving behing people who are helping defend.

i (we) can manage ourself trough every frontier without help.. we arrived in good health (allthough we had an unpleasant way of leaving due to my office internet dropping about 5 minutes after mids attacked)

its just the fact..... why leave realm people behind? (like i said, in emain, 8vs8 and gankgroup etc, i can understand)

but its not like were going to leech rp's from fights we "might" run into that half a zone.

dude, believe me it was a big mess
altho we had fun, did all kinds of stuff, gave and received about equal rps
saw a ridiculous amount of trebs
did stupid things myself, learned and laughed a lot
u shouldn't take things so hard
but nice to see all kinds of people respond to the call
dont be dissapointed, u did the right thing and the others running bywell... not all are ... paying as much attention as others

as been running rvr for the last 2.5 years on usa servers, i know not to take things harsh. (came from merlin lol.. i know harsh)

hence this was is only a "minor" rant /grin

but i clearly hope this isnt standard for hib gank groups on this server

(it was a well know hib rvr gank setup, allthough this time combined from several guilds)

really, hib on this server has been very very good to us, as as our guild has been, so as i said no complaints towards that and them

BUT.. speed was intentionally dropped for us not to be able to follow them on speed 5/6

like i said. no "got rolled etc here" we came to not in good health etc, and if we didnt, we just released and grabbed next port, but its just the fact that some hib intentionally didnt want to support us for a ride to the keep they went for as well was kinda disturbing.

well, i'd call lame on that tbh, we take croc rings off in emain when people ask for ride etc, but keep defence etc, its best to help as many to the keep etc asap

If there is a call to defend a keep then all should get there as quick as possible there is plenty of RPs around.

i'd gladly take as many as i could to situations like those.. 8v8 is not 'rvr' in the game sense of the word, its more of a little competition that has become the most popular form of 'rvr'.. but for true realm versus realm, never turn away, or let down your realm ppl.

I suppose you're all sweetness and light towards stealthers when you need something scouting or a keep infiltrating

It was clearly stated that most will happily give speed to emain but if peeps just stick and follow the grp in emain then speed will be dropped - if we wanted to run 9+ peeps we wud say so.

don't know if you're just flamebaiting or actually that thick, like tzee said the ring is useful in stuff like big scale rvr/pve but when you are looking for 8v8 you don't want to make it 9+ on your side

And I fully understand if a fg don´t want me leeching on their fights when in emain, but as long as fg:s leech on my 1 vs. 1 I will interfere in a 8 vs. 8 when I get the chance. But I will never run around outside a fg, leeching on their croc. tear ring-speed to keep up with them, with my NS just to do that. But if I come across a fg vs. fg while looking for 1 vs. 1 I will interfere if it looks like I can without dieing.

you can leech my croc ring anytime mate, I don't mid lifting the whole of Hib anywhere they wanna go 'Specially if AD are around, that really pisses them off.
