As i said, cheap stuff basicly. The staff was for free since no1 wanted it It also have some nice charges wich is pretty expensive to implent.

At first i thought of keeping the SM epic leggings as well, but the calculation didnt work out.

Btw i don't consider Spirit resistance so important, since smite isnt really used anymore.

And yes, i know there's a uber bracer quest (Mine SUCKS), but this is just an idea haven't really gone through with it, have all items except the leggings in vault rdy for crafting.

Also, the gloves were Spellcrafted looong ago

Hey Carn,

Think you'd do better looking for one of the random drop Staves from Dodens. You'd be better off with a 2 or 3 line focus staff. If not spell craft one with three focus lines and get a dot proc put on it...

Not really looked into how classes spec but just wanted to warn you that Clerics Smite line gets a boost in 1.60 (longer range, different timers) so we may see a few more of them. Also the following classes use spirit damage :

Necro DD and DOT
Reaver DD, DOT and Lifedrain
Theurg DD

Also the Theurg and Cleric's Mezz is Spirit

Well... you are probably high supp with a bit of Summon/Dark. If you have a 2 focus staff it will mean that your main line and your back up line will be cast at focus 50, therefore helping to conserve a bit of power. So no need to swap staves if you need to save power in the middle of a fight.

For me this was something I really needed. I was high Supp and high Dark. If I had a dual focus staff with 50 in both Supp and Dark I wouldn't have needed to swap staves when the situation needed it.

It's more of a power conservation/convienience thing really.

Although having a staff with a dot proc is sure to piss off a few folks

To be honest i seldom run out of mana in RvR. Pbae SM's tend to kill fast or be killed fast.

PvE is different matter, but i suppose focus has nothing to do with it since it's 100% pbae.

(Crafted staff would be great tho, but i'm planning on going cheap here )

Jut a little tip for those casters that decide to start hitting people with their staff during rvr (in response to the suggestion of DOT procs on staffs)

You will be evaded or blocked or parried alot, and many of the high damage styles in any realm or weapon spec are chains off these moves. So expect to be hit harder if you decide to take a couple of swings.

I much prefer having a DD charge on my staffs as it provides yet another instant for when I just dont have the pow or quickcast left for another nuke.

Dark spec SM: the dex debuff master.

Nobody blocks or evades if I get those puppies off and stacked.
If you get the appropriate RA, you can crit with debuffs too, potentially allowing up to around 200 total removed (with debuffs stacked) from dex from someone. SM debuffs make it almost impossible to miss the aforementioned would-be attacker so making a proc not quite as worthless as it might first seem.

And btw, 90% of my one-on-ones end up as a stick fight. Though I don't seek out this type of combat and these 1v1 encounters are rare, I've given infs, mercs, armsmen, etc the odd nasty shock. Note: this isn't a brag, I lose too, but its never a sure fight

You won't see many Dark spec SMs around though so for most, what Thorungla says holds true.

I got a staff crafted and sc'd it and put mana focus 50 in it would it have been worth putting in a light focus gem for my DD?

Carn: many times I've wished for the high sup debuffs, but I guess its different tools for different jobs. Sup debuff is screamingly funny to watch at times in RvR, I love being with sup SMs that know how to use it.

Piojo: focus levels in a line you use mainly is worth it. If you are a hybrid spec between 2 lines, it can be worth having a duel spec staff to save you switching as in RvR you mostly don't have time. In PvE I've found I can switch happily if I'm not being lazy

My staff is classified need to know and the MOD have made me sign the official secrets act. Hic. Bugger, been at the beer again
