SM question

I've been playing with an alt spiritmaster a bit, and have recently specced Supp and got the "transfer life", the idea of it appealed to me, as any who have played with me know I dont like to follow the "standard" character builds. It looked like it might be neat in a PvE group.

Therefore my question is this - Transfer Life seems to pull a LOT of aggro - is it more than a normal heal? or is it a symptom of me having already semi nuked to poor critter to death?

Well generally healing will aggro a mob quite a bit in a group fight, even if it's normally neutral - but if you've smacked it with a nuke first then started "healing" on top of that then I'd say it might get a bit miffed :)

Doz old buddy, I'll try and help out...

we tried a SM along side a healer, the SM being backup in case of problems, and the SM never got aggro, even when we were healing simulationously, we figured from that that they don't generate more aggro, although admittedly us healers tend to heal for a fair bit more than life tap.

however... one thing to consider, is you're taking health from a mob, and you're giving health to someone, the system may consider these two factors seperately, generating double aggro...

but, I can't say I've noticed it.

I have played side by side with Vird (lvl 24 sm)for sometime (hes Sorwa in SC)

When i was lvl 30 i went to fight giants in muspel, Vird was my backup. At some points he healed me alot, and he never got any aggro. I cant remember vird healing me and get agro in battle ever.
