According to VN they are the same. Maybe they are.

Magical Bonuses:

The fact that it does only have 4% spell dmg sucks so much I don't have words to describe it. Nice of them to mix the two good charges from traldors and traldors. Nice stats and all.

But 4% dmg...........!!!!!!!!! x<

Guess it's another looking good staff I will have in my inventory taking up space :<

Zebolt, what are you complaining about?

It's a caster staff that has +14% damage. Pretty sick, really. Not like casters needed an easier boost in the damage output department.

4% + 10% resist-piercing is not something to complain about, I'd say. :)

actually dont think he being ironic..

he refering to the fact that tarts has 5% dmg passive (ie not charge) so he has to lose 1% passive magic dmg if used this staff....

Guess the advantage of this is 50% power on 12min timer not 15min... i know that if i kept 8/9% dmg and 10%pierce etc i wouldnt bother with the /use2

Hunters got shafted on their bow, though. +3% damage/speed/range.. It is STILL impossible to get +10% damage now for archers. Range and speed never were a problem before.

The overall utility on this staff is far superior that on arty ones. Loosing 1% pierce is not a big deal if you can get more utility on your template. increasing your resists, power pool or even get the 11+skill (+5% damage if i'm not wrong). It's a fair trade.

+14% dmg on the staff? huh? Yeah for 30 seconds every 12 min, yay! Excuse me if I'm not jumping of happiness when it's only 4% dmg 95% of the time.

No, I'm not ironic as Septima thought. I don't understand why you make an item for each class who's suppose to be special for the new patch worse than an artifact that everyone and his dog allready have.

Yes, it's a good staff but the problem wasn't to cap dex/piety cap and cast speed, it was to cap spell dmg. All the other stats you can get from other items but spell dmg is only accessible on the staff (with GoV/Nailah's as exception) and using this staff I will lose 1% dmg for what? I can get some higher resists perhaps with the right template but that's definately not worth the same as dmg.

1% damage in the scheme of things is nothing, so what you get is a change of looks which will be nice no? :p

Im frickin GLAD they didnt make just another ubah, must have, beat all, prawnz0r weap...takes the f00king fun outta the game. Which it does for some classes...which is mind-numbing...clueless devs at mythic. First SI, then Toa and if DR did the same..omg.

Your talking about 7 damage on a 700 nuke Zebolt. 7 fucking damage, compare it to what you most likely can push in now instead(croc ring instead of immo?) and its a win win situation.

I know I would like this staff atleast ;<

Why would I want croc ring? Conversion isn't rly a difference and I will have a train of stealthers behind me leeching speed :p

The only thing I miss in my template is one resist, so I could gain that but I rather have the 1% dmg. Dmg is all dark RM's are good for and I don't wanna lose anything of the only thing my char can do.

kinda sucks that it loses 1% damage, that needs fixing really but heres a template for mystics already :p

As the stats for caster staves seems to be pretty much the same i thought id make a template, now here ive just basically taken out mad scalars as they not low utility and the reason for putting them in a template in the past was for the casting speed and cap increases.

Although the champion weapon could open up some intresting templates as you could get rid of torrent / immolated from the current cookie cutter high end template and be able to put in croc ring and maybe somthing like zahurs ring for high util, could be intresting to see what people come up with and atleast ive got a while before i have to decide which i choose as DR wont be on eurpean servers for a while

The bonuses of using champion weapon seem to be from the template that of slightly better resists obtainable, lower reuse timer on the raging power2 use and ofcourse the looks ;>

very disappointing tbh

4% cast speed and dmg means that everyone who can afford a full TOA set will go with the TOA one

the stats on the staves are ok for support mages like bonedancer, sorc, theurgist, etc but not for mages whose primary purpose is to do damage

they should have given the primary casters (eld/wiz/RM) 5 or 6% dmg and in return remove the power pool or something
