I planned on making a longer movie with various classes and FG vs FG fights but failed to gather enough okay footage before stopping to play (hidden hint at the end of the movie for one of the reasons why I stopped).

Movie contains two of Arctic Circle's fights, one vs Savage Conclave (with a Red Guard BD), ond vs a Hib group with Bondo as Bard.

XViD video, LAME MP3 Audio, ~14 minutes long, ~125 MB big.

I didn't play particulary well and the group was breaking mezzes all over the place and everybody was owning me but I was just a bit over RR3 after a break and I swear I tried to get a worse Sorc than that!

Credits to the Arctic Circle guys and the pickups.

Anyway, enjoy, I now can clean up the project files:

1. private Torrent
2. public Torrent (tomorrow)
3. FileFront (uploading now)

You're the first keyboard turner I've seen using his mouse to click his abilities. Out of interest, which abilities do you use with your keyboard, if any?

Kinda with Samaroon on this one, might be because of the music tho, it's was just so insanely tedious o_O And btw, you are above rr4 in that last fight :p

The lack of panning and the turning with arrowkeys or the likes made me cry. :/

None, just movement. Everything else was mapped to mouse. After playing for 9 RRs on old Sorc with keyboard mapped stuff I totally changed the control setup and it was very hard to adapt to it. It looks very sloppy and noobish but around RR5 I got used to it and control was fluent again.

Imo you were mezzing way too much. In the most cases I would have used damage spells, your group would won much faster/easier, it is true a sorc has to interrupt and keep the enemy mezzed, but u don't have to spam 4-5 mezzes on the same target. Cast 2 mezzes then lifetap instantly on the nearest free enemy caster or assist on MA or smt. If you don't use your lifetap because u are considered a ccer then you don't use the full power of your class. Though you of course have to find the balance between interrupting and lajftapping the shit out of the enemies :) But this is just imo, and I'm considered a noob sorc anyway :I

Had Glodoc for the smiting damage. But like I said when I posted the movie, not played particulary well, forgot to ask for dex rebuff often, sloppy movement/panning, Druid outinterrupting me, MoC1 wars with shammy and so on. But relearning curve was okay, at some point I got it again.

Think both fighs was ages ago, I was still rank 9 in that one. By the look of the fight vs my group we hade reacently been in fight vs another grp also, not complaining on that in anyway however.
At this time you could atleast make a group and find other descent groups to fight. Now it seem there is almost no grps left to fight on the cluster.

Well I thought the vid was interesting enough :> A small insight into the world of a grouped up Sorc - a rare beast :> Would have been nice to see spec / a few details about the toon and maybe a music list.

I liked the "cast-BT-on-inc" part. ;) Otherwise I am not so impressed. And the ending is not only gross, but also misinformed. So Mythic is owned by EA, so what? Hardly grounds for quitting, seems more like a convenient excuse for quitting than anything else.

Glad you liked the part.

EA is only one of the reasons for me to leave (stated so when posting). I do not like EA and I have good reasons for it. Why should I be positive about it?

I would like to play an Infi or even DAoC, but only in instanced BGs, I do not see the point of running around for 15 minutes without anything at all, just o meet 3 RR9 SBs and 2 RR8 Hunters stuck to them to gank me out of stealth or a FG of Bonedancers adding on a FG fight or nothing at all. Especially not when my time has become more limited. I prefer to log on into a game, click start battle and end up in an equal sized fight.

I do not like to play a game anylonger where I have to grind 50 levels of PvE and some more stuff before I can do end game PvP. Sure, with fantastic help I had a Sorc in a super template and ML10 within 1,5 weeks of heavy playing. But I am changing and I have higher requirements on games now as I had it some time ago.

For now I am playing Guild Wars and it is very fast paced. From the beginning you can just PvP if you want to. It lacks depths though and immersion. The only game I already played that I would come back to would be EVE Online.

My new mouse has like 10+ buttons, so upon completion of the transition from my old to my new system I had the most important functions mapped to the keys of the mouse.

Nice!!

Going to download this as soon as i get home from work....hope i play semi respectable in this movie rather than running around like a headless chicken like i normally do :)

Can't wait to see some tanks get pwnd by fire debuff and the zergers (Mrdee and mustrum) :)

And to be fair to Manisch we asked him to play as a interrupter most of the time as the main damage of our setup comes from the fire wizzies. Manisch 350ish nukes(mind/split sorc) dont compare to a 700+ nuke(fire wizzie +purp con fire debuff)

urk, i hope for the people you play with aswel as your wrist your control is much better now. it's a shame because the first fight is long and prolly very interesting, but i can't help to feel the pain irl of having to click every single thing.

Any standard player should play it as long as the corresponding codecs are installed, for encoding I used a recent version of XViD and LAME.

But you clicked a lot in the video, that's what I mean. My mouse has 9buttons aswell and I have lots of abilities bound to them, so if you see my sorc qbar, there is no demezz, ae mezz, ae root, RR5, lifetap, assist =)

Same for all my other toons, so I was just wondering with the clicking. Personally I use a combination of mouse and keyboard. I have most group targeted abilites on the right side of my qb to click and the things I need to target for are on the left (so I can use them with the keyboard instead of clicking)

I'm wondering cause on incs you gotta be rather fast to target and ae mezz =) (or BT =)) )
