okay peeps. was just wondering what you all reckon the best slash weapon in the game for a pally is. at the minute im using the ancient brass longsword with its lifetap proc on it.
so what do you all think?
As palas do sht dmg i would say that Traitor's Dagger would be the best weapon due to it's heavy proc's that steals life from enemy to you, they might not hit hard.. but comparing to the dmg the pala does itself the dmg rox imo... Ofc... Malice is rather nice.. and so is battler.... but still.. i would have Traitor's for soloing against stealthers etc... and then battler in off-hand for the lvl 10 ability... grp wise to those proc things might be good as nasty interupters... but ofc.. they might alos take away mezz/stun etc from your target..
Go with a good old fashioned lvl 51 MP exceptional longsword. Fit it into your template with SCing of your choice and get whatever proc you want on it. Better and ALOT easier to get than most if not all slash artis imo. Course, battler looks the best
Traitor's Dagger is very nice for a Paladin (when either soloing heavy bosses or soloing in RvR), it lets you win many fights
But other than for PvE I just use summoned Sun Belt Weapons, and RvR I use Malice for the debuff proc and 4.1 speed which is nice.
Then there's Battler, while Malice and Battler are pretty the same statwise, Battler has a +10% Weaponskill proc, where Malice debuffs 25% of all your opponents stats, so there'd I'd go for Malice to hit stuff with, and Battler on the back for the level 10 charge
Edit: Btw the Traitor's Dagger level 10 proc is ultranice for a Paladin. It's a 150 DMG proc that drains 50 HP of your life, it's great when your soloing stuff
