Hi there, thinking of how to spec my mincer. and wondered how bg a differance there is between the lvl 29 anytme style and the level 39 back style. So if any1 could kill a few gray cons to try the cap on the 2 styles id be real happy,

Not a lot TBH.

Damage variance aside, the main difference will be a higher WS, so you'll be able to by-pass an opponent's defences with greater regularity.

If the difference is simular to scout, you'll not gain much dmg using backslash over ame slash, altho there will be a slight increase, but quite a high end style.

I don't recommend it! Your dmg is in your DD's, not in melee.

maybe 39 slash, 50 instru an 18 stealth

Riderich (RR10) tried that recently, but missed safe fall too much to go less than 30 stealth iirc.

Its not worth it imo, i tried the 39 spec, and did ~20 more dmg with the backslash, while loosing about 50 points on the dds AND the nice aura...

id go 44 inst 39 slash 32 stl or 50 inst 33 slash 30 stl or 33 stl 30 slash, full auto as ill PL. thing is i had a 6l4 mincer b4 but didnt find my dd dmg to be all that, so i thought id do a bit more dmg with my wep every 2 sec without spec haste and malice and only lose 14 delve on 1 DD and the 30 point abla. lets say if a normal fight lasts 30 sec id do 25*2 more with DD with 50 spec or mabye XXX more dmg with wep. so thats my dilema

amy slash the 29 style is ~0.65GR, backslash the 39 style is ~0.9GR but uses alot of endo. backslash is worth it imo. ~2backlsash=3amy(and 3amy of endo aswell) if u need max dmg during stun duration for instance, it'll work nicely.

50 instru 39 slash 18 stealth ( no auto train ) best grp specc
50 instru 29 slash 31 stealth ( no auto train ) best stealth specc

50 instru 44 thrust ( autotrained ) best grp specc
50 instru 31 slash 31 stealth ( autotrained ) best stealth specc

also a good specc is 45 instru 39 slash 28 stealth ( no autotrain )

DD damage can be uber if u do the right specc , do not forget
that DDs is your best damage as a minstrel .
with 45 instru u lose your last DD but u get lotsa WS that helps a lot .
i would suggest for low RR 45 instru 39 slash 28 stealth .

though on a bigger RR i would go for the first 2 options .

DD can have a huge damage output if correct specced .
Atm with 50 + 18 instru and 224 charisma
and mom 3 and wp 3
and an AT for 5% resist pierce i usually hit vs stealtherrs or soloers duos etc
( Aka no healer resists ) sthing like

Main DD : 280 + 120 critical
Second DD : 220 + 80 critical
Amethyst or Backslash : ~200
For a total of 900 damage insta . ( This is my damage at 80% of non healer resists players )
Ofc there are some exceptions that i hit for less that 600 damage


Just for the info ,
+1 instrume = 0,8 damage
and
+1 charisma = 1 damage


Conclusion is that
45 instru u have
20 more damage at stun duration etc from using backslash instead of amy .
while on 50 instru u have
also 20 damage more overtime from 45 instru

but with 50 instru u lose WS Aka miss on attacks
39 backslash u lose ablative + resists on DDs .
its up to u on what is your specc imoz .
