I'm really pissed off with Sky Digital, is anyone else here having problems?
I can't seem to get anywhere with them, they just don't seem to care. It all started when they came to install it last Tuesday. The freak who came around drilled through the wall, in a seemingly random place, then went outside to find a huge peice of the walls mortar had fallen away. He then ran a black cable straight up the front of our white house, even though he had white and black cable in his van. It looks awful when he could have ran it up the site if the door, window or even the side of the house out of view.
Fuck it I thought, I just want watch some cool TV and sort it out later. Oooh, I can check my email, thats fancy I thought. But it never fucking works 'please check the line is not busy' it says, when it not. Oh well maybe its just a setting I will sort that out later as well i thought, still excited at the prospect of endless Simpsons, Sci-Fi and music.
All is fine for a couple of days until it started taking about 5 fucking mins to change channel and all we get is a blue screen while we wait. So I phoned them - "Turn it off at the wall, leave it a min, then turn it back on. Call back if it still does not work" they keep saying. Trouble is that it works ok for about 5 mins then fucks up again. After a total of about an hour's worth of premium rate calls they finally admit that is a known fault with the firmware in all the new Amstrad box's that they have been installing. They then say it will be about a week(!) before they find out what the fault is and a Firmware update is available. "nothing else we can do" they say. "send me a new fucking box" I say. "All the Amstrad box's have this fault" they say. "Then send me a fucking Panasonic, Nokia or Pace box then" I say. "Er... no" they say.
I then resorted to Vodka for my entertainment.
Meanwhile they continue to install known faulty boxs no doubt.
