Absolute total cack!!!!

Took the kids to see this on Saturday (nothing else available) and was utter tripe.

apparently it took them 28 days to shoot the WHOLE movie in front of a blue screen with the backdrops being added later.

Definately goes down in the list of "One to Avoid"

Going to see it for the fx and for Angelina Jolie. Yes thats shallow and no I dont care its shallow ;)

To be honest I'm not that suprised - it started out more as an experiment and apparently the plot and characters are paper thin, seeing as they were bolted on I expected it.

So asides from that what did you think of the actual fx Laz? I've heard some of it its breathtaking.

you may be disappointed Xtro. Angelina is only in the film for about 10 mins
and she doesnt look very appealing at all.

I rather liked it, the whole flash gordon serial homage type thing. It's not a great film, the description of wafer thin plots etc is spot on and all but I enjoyed the style thoroughly, really impressive eye candy (not quality of the FX but what the retro look they put on the screen). Reminded me of the Paul Dini Batman cartoons.

I wouldn't bother taking the kids I just doubt they'd get it.

It looked quite nice, but was otherwise completely and utterly awful.

Although, my eight year old nephew enjoyed it :)
