Been playing around with some of the add-ons that have started appearing, and have been impressed by a few.

My African Tiger tank now looks like this:

The one I'm really impressed with is the new sound pack. The guns and grenade explosions sound a lot 'meatier'.

The German flag patch also looks good - flags with Swastika's, and eagles, etc.

You can get them from:

http://www.bfcentral.com/pafiledb3/pafiledb.php

You'll need to get the rfa extractor from the site first to unpack the files - make sure you read the readme.txt before use !

You'll also need the Microsoft .NET runtime (20Mb) to run the rfa extractor, which can be got from:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads...S/027/001/829/msdncompositedoc.xml&frame=true

If you don't like any of the mods, just rename the original .rfa file, and everything is as was.

They should patch against this somehow - you know before long some swine's going to have neon skins for everything.

Yeah - but these just make the game look and sound even better :)

You can't unpack the objects file btw, so there is some restrictions on what you can do - but the who wants to play a WWII sim with a bright pink Tiger Tank (except Summo perhaps :) )

First ever skin PAK I downloaded for Quake II was for neon bright CTF ones, definite advantage in play.

Oh you'd be surprised, Sierra had to bring in crc checking in T2 because people were using bright pink skins for mines, deployable turrets and deployable inventory stations. The skins meant these objects stuck out like a sore thumb giving a definite advantage.
