Skill up in SC...?

Whats the best way to skill up a SC'er...
Crafting oranges and shief to a new item as soon as it turns yellow? or keep crafting the same until it goes blue.... or somthing completly difrent

Need some input, since im noob to SC'ing and wan't to do it as fast and cheap as posibel ofc

I've heard, not confirmed, but heard that if you go on +10 stones every time, you gain alot, but loose some.

that means, your skill = 560, you find stone with skill 570, etc..

I have done this while heading for 500, and it was fast and cheap. didn't loose that much material.

Stick to oranges.

Pick item say 10 above your skill, make them for a while, when (or just before) it turns yellow pick a new item.

Youll lose a few materials - but that costs virtually nothing except in the rare case where you lose a gem. The occasional losses are far cheaper in the long run than making more items where you dont gain skill (as would be the case skilling on yellows)

i skilled my sc, by making gems that was 9 skill higher... was first after 800 i followed that rule, else i were just making oranges..

SC works totally different then the old crafts. It's far better to skill on yellows then on oranges. Oranges with SC tend to fail a lot + loose the stone every time and the stone is the most expensive part of a gem. So stick to yellows and see no loose in materials which is imo the best money saving skilling.

Well maybe your being unlucky Khalen, hardly lost any gems when I skilled.

Losing the odd gem is better than the slower skilling on yellows. The sellback costs soon add up as you know.

I guess a "few" days more in diogel won't hurt
