Whooh, my skald is only lvl 12 and even now enjoying so much!!
Fun even soloing, even more fun to be the "innocent" dwarf running around aegir and mezzip peoples mind's :flame:
not even getting greyganked at all, since if someone attacks me, mezzup their mind and hug em and run away. I'm also helping the unfair fight's (2vs1) by running past and mezzup the others mind..

Only thing that worries me is, IS there any crafters in Camlann? Or do people just want to ignore some pisky little lowbies? 10 people sitting infront of forge, and none of them is WS?(well usually nobody says anything)

Oh and btw, anyone wanna tell some good monsters that drop good usable loot?(axes and padded ^^ )

aaand one noobish question still, what is the damage modifier for 2h weapons?Seems that they do muuuch more damage than 1h

Well thank's all the great people that has anything nice to post :)

Well still at this low level, and with the healsong, downtime isn't that much since my health regens as fast as end, and that's fast..I can do 2 yellows and then rest for a while, or 3-4 blues, fighting against blue mobs I don't even need the styles..and can do this with very gimped armor and weapon (most of the armor is green/grey, 1 yellow) and weapon is blue (2h axe)
Hmh, ws is too damn expensive, I've used allmost all my money to ws and still can't do better weapons than blue to me..

imo;

get a shammy buffbot from a friend or from your sec. acc if you got any :x

..if not,

just, as you are doing, solo yellows and go for those who are weak against your dmg type; trees -> use slash etc

Skald never should use a shield as it can not spec for it and tbh only a Kobbie Skald would 'block' some a fight..
Another thing is with the two handed weps you can get side styles for lots of dmg in easily as you have mezz; start fight, if not agro, with a side style and then mezz and do it again if you didn't get it raged yet, else just anytime or use parry style ( depends on choice of weapon )

I would recomment to keep BS max and rest in weapon, parry isn't needed that much yet.

If you reach the level of 20 and can get some rps get mop asap.. you can respec at later stage to get purge first but mop helps ALOT as i noticed on my infi at level 34.

dinners ready now so ill shut up! ;)

skald at low level is fun yes, but the higher you get.. the harder it becomes 1vs1..

casters cast alot faster, and you go 2h vs a caster? ur dead.. also shield classes are a by-otch... anyway.. skalds are fun yes, just not always :p

fast 1h sword to crack bt then wack at him with an anytime, followed by mezz and your side chain or whatever :x

dds to interupt etc.. casters shouldn't be a problem as long as you can keep close to em.. > abuse the game mechanics!!!

Skald are fun, yeah. Started my Camlann career as a skald too. Use your lower levels to learn the basics about your class but more importantly, have fun. :)

A self respecting skald doesn't even touch a 1h weapon. Use the slowest 2h weapon you can find (weapon damage is calculated on both delay and dps in DAoC so slower = better in most cases (esp as a skald)). Till 40 your weapon spec doesn't matter but make sure to respec your spec to hammer at 40. :p

Pidä hauskaa Camlalla.

Yeah it's a really nice hammer... too bad only the mid dragon drops it. 30p for 0.2 extra speed seems a bit harsh to me though.

Okey I get the idea, I like 2h more. But where that hell do I find ones? I specced on axe (no need to argue what is best, I just like axes more) and got the great idea to craft all my weapons, buuut, it just gimped me, since all money went to ws and got only blue weapon for me :)
I went to check the housing area, but there is only 1 yellow axe (not even 2h) and it's sold in 40g ?!?
But sorry to all the people I've mezzupped at aegir, just can't anything for me..
but it's also quite grazy that I can mezz so much higher people, and fun :D

a good warden will kill a skald with or without the skald using 1h (and i mean GOOD, ie gwarlin :p)

a crap warden will get owned by a skald even using 2h (ie "7 Maxlin Aldirsen 1,350,720 13,608 50 Inguz Morniëo Celt" ;))
