dex more important than qui

dex is = more parry and cannot be capped afaik
qui you cap long before with decent buff, think qui is capped with 57 or something in template

Erm, qui is WAY more important than dex(probably most useless stat in daoc for rvr unless you are a shield tank/casting type of class), dex only effects parry yes but qui caps at 75, it doesn't lower 2h styled damage so much really, it's a good sc template but beware of air theurgs^^

dex is almost totally useless for a skald
nice template, though more +str would be better :d

See descriptions below.

It would seem that Qui is much more useful (than dex) for a Skald on the basis that you'll be swinging your weapon a lot but won't parry much anyway due to low parry skill.

Quickness:
This is your reaction time
Quickness affects the speed at which you swing your weapon.
Quickness, along with Dexterity, partially affects the usage of evade.

Official DAoC Description:
Affects the attack speed of a player in melee combat. Half of evasive skills rely on Quickness. The other half relies on Dexterity

Dexterity:

This is your manual dexterity and how good you are with your hands.
Dexterity is partially responsible for a character's weapon skill with thrusting weapons such as daggers, rapiers, and spears, flexible weapons, and hand to hand combat.
Dexterity is completely responsible for a character's weapon skill with aimed weaponry such as bows, crossbows, throwing weapons, and staves.
Dexterity affects the usage of evade, parry and shields.
Dexterity affects the amount of damage done with ranged magical attacks (bolts).

Dexterity affects the casting time of spells, and a high dexterity can reduce the casting time for any spell by up to 25%.

Official DAoC Description:

Archery (bow-type weaponry) and Staves depend on the level of DEX that your character has. The other half of thrusting weapon damage is dependant on DEX. Casters rely on DEX to increase their casting speed by up to 25%. Defensive skills such as shield blocking, parrying, and evasive skills also depend on DEX.

that's a myth, probably came up when Shadowblades tried to figure out why Dex is their primary stat ;)

A skald with base qui or any melee class is like a healer with base dex :p

ok, I take my words back :)

Might be because I've been thinking as an assasin and archer for the last few months, since they can cap qui (250 hard cap afaik) with dex/qui buff and not having qui capped in the template :p

Its an other story for tank classes, but ty all for making me realize that :)
