I'm thinking about starting a skald on prydwen, and i have some questions before i start to gimp him :p

Anyway... whats the best spec for an all-round skald? I heard 44axe/46bs/17p was a good spec?
I want to start a norse, but where to put the starting points in?
And how to play a skald to it's full potential? How to play best in groups/rvr and solo...

thanks.

Norse is most rounded or dwarf if you like alittle more hp.
Kobold and Troll are the worst in the beginning but even out if you get the right gear.
Choose whichever looks nice to you, won't make that much of a difference in the end. (i have a kobold skald and he's doing fine so far)

start points -> 10char/10dex/10quick
since you cap str/cons easy with items etc:p

:rolleyes: if you put say 10 points into str, then your str cap will be 10 higher.. so the cap xxx line of thought easily really doesn't make much sense..

for info if you want to know what caps are:
from items you can get +1.5 times your level (so max of +75 at 50) to any stat over their base value (note certain stats base values will increase as you go up in level -- which ones do depends on your class, also buying the aug xxx RAs counts as an improvement to your base value of that stat)

Dammit, was about to say the same thing ffs ;) What kind of amazes me is the fact that a lot of replies suggest to put 10 starting points into dex...which isn't really an important stat for skalds. 10 str, 10 con and 10 char is without any doubt the best option for norse skalds imo.
And about how to calculate your cap: for primary stat it's rather simple, the formula is: base + start-up points + level x 1 + level x 1,5 from items= cap

Sorry but that spec blows, you lose chant of blood for 2 points in weaponspec (no extra style there). Options are :

44Axe,46BS,17p for cookie cutter
46/46/10 for slightly better weapon spec
50/43/2 for Tyrs Fury

Well ive chosen to go 46 46 10 rather than stoping at 44 or even 39. This since I want to fill my item slots with resist items rather than +axe to get 50 in the end. I might live a second longer that way =)
