Why is it that when Im playing CS, if I 'Alt/tab' to my desktop all the icons etc are in a massive font, so I cant get to some of them (fallen off the bottom of the screen).

Any Ideas?

ummm... don't alt-tab out of cs to your desktop ?? Whenever i do, i loose sound anyway... seems hl doesn't like peeps doing that...

Quake-engined games always hate alt-tabbing.

CS changes the display on your PC during gaming, and resets it when you exit CS.

If you alt tab during the game, you have not reset the display and therefore it displays the changed display mode.

In other words - DONT ALT TAB

What you could d, from your desktop, is to right click and reset the display to whatever you like (Dont know what effect this will have on the game tho

i wish they'd fix it..... its 1 of the most annoying things about hl/cs :/

btw - messin around with cs 1.3 - it kept the dektop resolution when switching......

its a halflife issue not cs

Err its all dependent on your display drivers. With nvidia the 7.58 drivers and above keep the resolution that cs was at. As I use 1028 for both cs and windows I end up fine when alt tabbing.

Whoever never alt tab from cs menus or HL menus, they are all in 640*480.

Also never alt tab unless running gamespy or pingtool or the like as you will not be able to restore sound without exitig the server.
