Situation on Midgard

Purely out of interest...and dont start reading into it because i really doubt that anything will ever come of it...

but whats the general situation on Midgard. Is all happy? How are things classes wise..are you in need of anything in particular?

Are guilds generally happy friendly places? Are you suffering a lot with the whole powerlevellers camping xp spots etc etc


Whats Midgard like, is the main thing i guess.

What i've seen the last days, people are like they have always been, some run with bots, some run with groups. Thoose i've seen with bots take mobs they could take without it, bot just there to cut downtime. Had some person yelling at me for pulling everything at a spawn, sent my pet in, cast damage shield 6 dps at lvl 9 sm. All mobs beat themself to death on it while pet tanked the first one 2-3 reds, upto 8 blues i tried, damage shield, heal, damage shield.

Doh a bit off topic.

But i would say the state of midgard is like its always been.

What is Mid lacking?

Well.... CC healers are always a bit thin on the ground and from my limited experience Runecarving Runemasters are not a common sight.

But apart from that lots of other classes are well represented ... especially Shadowblades.

Why Sheaffer? Wanna come and have fun in Mid?

id like to try another realm, and go with people i know. which is why hib/mid/excal doesnt appeal. just an idea.

Tyra, I moved here recently from hib which i moved to from alb in the first place, hence I have tried out all 3 realms so far, I still have loads to do in mid though

I really like mid, people here is devoted, people here care about their frontier, most people are good players. Sure, there are some nutters, but I dont think its anywhere near how many there are in alb, and hibs just play their alts anyway so I dont bother with them.

Mid is the place I will stay in until I quit Daoc for sure. I started here in beta, and to be honest, I never should have moved

1.6x patches coming soon leaving mid the utter gimp, hardly any healers, lots of noobish behaviour and allmost all "established values" have died

Well I just moved over from hib to mid and while still being low level I think I like it here. Had some really nice groups with my zerker already in SI zones, but now I noticed there are enough berserkers so I made a rc runie instead

Shaeffer... do not, repeat do NOT, delete. Go get another account going somehow and leave your main one dormant.

When you get there obviously check in at the Nico hotel, but give Dozigden a shout about possibly joining SC - they are one of the best guilds you will find on Prydwen....

Im treating midgard as a holiday camp...i may one day come back permanently move there, I may not. Obviously i dont want a conflict of interests, but i need a change, whilst keeping things familiar.

I just returned after some months of absence and to be honest the game changed a lot in the meantime (not only through SI)...
... some of the early veterans left for good, other are coming back and a lot of new players are around who have given Midgard a strong realm identification after a "little crisis" some time ago, as I have heard.

Playing my bonedancer Filou u to the 30th seasons now I have grouped with a lot of people from different guilds and there is nothing really deteriorating here. Guilds stil have their identity and it is fun to meet old friends and make new ones again...

IMVHO there is no better realm to be in... as usual the key choice is to find the right guild for ones personal game interest. Done that there is no stopping for uninterrupted game fun ...

Well, midgard would sure be more fun with you in it but I would miss our fights. Sorry I havnt been around last couple of days, will bring my butt to sauvage asap.
But if the choices are quiting or changing realm. Then do the later of course mate.

for the leveling part, up to ~lvl15 it's a pain.
Few groups and even less good ones, but tons of toons running around with a lvl50 shamy attached to them pulling entire camps with AE Disease or something.

The higher you get the better the grouping situation gets though, my latest Alt had -very- good groups for the last 6 levels (now 32), and it weren't always the same people

Dunno how it's from 40+ on, but I guess still malmo-hell ... but even that 'can' be fun.

Depends alot on the people you meet tho ... as always.

After such kind words from Lord Jup, I thought I'd better respond on behalf of SC.

After a period where we closed our recruitment to try and find some stability (we went through a bit of a growth spurt and it made it difficult for everyone to get to know each other properly) we are now accepting new recruits. However, we have changed our recruitment process to try and control any massive influx and make sure that new people can be properly brainwa... err integrat... err welcomed to the guild .

I seem to remember that Shaeffer has visisted our forums before , but be sure to check them and our our web-site www.savageconclave.com for all info, including our new recruitment policy.

If SC doesn't float your boat then I'd put a good work in for the other guilds in the New Era alliance - a fine bunch of people.

I've recently had a friend who was going to kill off their chars they'd spent the better part of a year building and go off to play another realm.

My advice to you is the same as I gave them: don't do it.

Make a second account or play on another server in the realm you fancy, it gives you space to chill out and do different things without burning your bridges.
Then when you're ready (if ever) to go back, at least you have the choice.

Playing on a realm where you don't know anyone actually can be the perfect antidote to hassle and grief and give you time to put some distance between you and whatever was troubling you back where you usually play.

I would say midgard is pretty good, i was originally on hib excal...and the landscape is wonderful and all but ... well ya know ppl are "Teh r0x0r" as it were i just got my first lvl 50! and im loving midgard...my new Project is a RC runey, so whoever said there isnt enough look for the ironically named Elbubbio hitting a shelf near u /transfercorpse /!)

So has the whine about them.
Healer there are plenty just not RvR healers or they play very litle.
Shammies in big NR even in RvR.
Looks to me Mid getting more balanced in chars but still have to eat crap from goa THEY DAY WE GET A USEFUL GROUP RA IAM HAPPY.
