FH news Site improvements

All,

Have been making some speed improvements over the last few weeks such as:

• Static images being served from cookieless domains.
• New SQL box running the latest GA version of MySQL.
• New version of lighttpd (the webserver).
• Utilising memcached for caching of certain objects.
• Additional vBulletin mod to further improve performance.

Page load speeds should be super fast and in the next few days I will point the DNS to a new server which should speed up things some more.

Hehe, Jupitus was trying to do some changes last night to DAoC and I got a text saying that he had broken FH but seems to be fine this morning!

So not sure if the changes went ahead or not....
