Been loving my hunter in bg, but i'm wondering if it's overpowered or not? I've not played a scout or a ranger, but i understand they have better bows than us, but i seem to hold my own.

beastcraft, the self buffs, the speed burst and ofc the pet seem pretty powerful, though i suppose i've gimped my melee to get them. if i get a solo fight with a ranger or a scout, i'm not sure how they can beat the bow/bc spec.

anyway, see you in thid!

scouts/rangers (in that order) do a considerable deal more bow dmg than us hunters but 9/10 hunters will beat both 1v1 as we got better dmg output with spear+pet.Ofc that depends how u specced as if u gone high BC+bow with low spear u may struggle.A nice Thid spec for hunters is 18stealth/19bow+19spear/7Bc.With this spec u dont do the full amount of bow dmg as u could if 24bow but u can still do a nice amount of bow dmg and still whoop most scouts/rangers u find and my thid huntress can beat infs+ns's if they miss their PA's,she can even still win if hit with a BS,so long as the inf/ns aint buffed to the tits and wearing full SC armour.

Scouts and rangers do the same damage whit bow, exactly the same, no more no less, and in BG rangers can fire faster than scouts. :touch:

i went 24(+5)bow/19st(+5)/13bc/3sp(+5)

i went for high stealth and i'm glad i did, the number of times i've seen other rogue classes and they haven't seen me are many.

bow, well i love high bow- i've one shotted casters for 425 with it; a nice critshot can cut half the health of a chain wearer. i dont' know how the lower critshot compares.

bc.. well i run without a buffbot, so it was this or spear. i find the pet invaluable for stopping runaway stealthers, popping bt, dropping speed, etc. the buffs are nice, and the speed boost has saved me many times.

spear, well i have a nice spear with a nice proc; i lack styles but if push comes to shove i can pop into melee. i tend to hate melee though, so i stick with my bow :)

Its all personal choice but at lvl7 the 1st pet will still do all the tasks u just said ie pop stealthers, pop bt,drop speed, goin with no spear styles looks like suicide to me as a inf/ns will see you no matter if took stealth to 24(and btw 19stealths not high its the normal benchmark for 99% of stealthers both archer an asassin classes).I like knowing that i can open fore on light tank classes an once they turn an charge ive got the mellee firepowe to finish the job,but as i said its all personal choices which is y i love camelot as no characters are ever exactly the same :)
