No. they were disabled because every lameass and his pet dog had retardedly large and pointless pics in their sigs. It became very boring, messy, untidy and an incredible waste of bandwidth.

And 99% of the sig pics were shit anyway. Newbs trying to show their skills in PS using lens flares etc.

This isn't an FXP forum

are i see, ive come from the official unreal tournament and unreal 2 forums, when people did that sort of thing the admins just threatened that they would remove em if they didnt sort them out.


any way im not a newb in paint shop, if you dont believe me check the address in my sig, its my latest work and i klike it:D

Other boards take twice as long to load and end up looking cluttered and crap. You end up having to develop a personal filter so you can read the conversation without taking in all the shiteness.

Sigs that are more then two lines are poor as well, and I reckon all sigs should be in a different colour. If the post is on the dark green background the sig should be the light green and vice versa.

I'd personally like an avatar style system... restrictions on file size and image size, so there can be no abuse, and the easy option of disabling showing sig images....

Fair point. I personally reckon an avatar is enough. (You, like many others, don't even have one! Would you have a sig pic if you could?).

Still, I don't see any harm in having the option, provided you also have the option to turn them off.

As long as we can include images in our posts then I'm happy.

There is no way of moderating or controlling sig pic sizes. It would require the user to upload their sig to the server (the same as avatars) and to be honest it would a shameful and disgusting waste of resources

...and avatars aren't? At least a sig you can be broader and expand a little more, and it tells you something about that person.

I would use a sig image, if the option was there. I don't use an avatar because the system doesn't work for me. *shrug*.

I'm happy with the avatar system. If pix could go in sigs, I'd like the option to turn them off. I'm not very patient whenit comes to web page loading (or anything actually):cool:

If there is call for it, then as far as I'm concerned it should definately be considered bringing in. Some people wouldn't like it - fine, you can turn the sig images off (or even they could be off by default - for people new to the forums?), but I'm all for it. Provided the system works unlike the avatar system. :p

This ain't no rant its the damn truth. Sig pics just suck, all you end up is morons with pathetic 1 line posts then half a screen full of their crap signature graphic.
