SI problems?

Well just logged on and wanted to play some SI...

Played some yesterday during the night and all seemed to work nice...

But when I tried to logg my chanter on it first worked. took my horse towards howth... and then BAM computer freezes... I say ok 1 time thing...
reboot try again.. run around 1 min in howth. BAM freezes again...

Hmm I try switching down all the gfx shit etc...stil freezes...

Log my alts on in DF and in ARdee.....it wooorks.. take horse towards howth.. BAM freezes....

my computer is:
Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 3, AMD , 1666MHz, 512MB ATI RADEON 9700 PRO, Connection: 2.5 mbit at BoStream

Any1 else gotten these problems or something like it..

Trying to get later drivers for my GFX card, but STIL worked yesterday...and abit today...and works today if not around connla howth...

Tried installing new VIA drivers, gfx drivers and nothing seems to help...

check gfx drivers dircet x versions etc.
reinstall DAoC and SI
repatch
try again

Why both? Unless you really want to run the old client instead of the SI one.

SI doesnt need the original to be installed, it just needs an original CD key.

Anyway posting what I wrote to the costumer service....

Ok heres the story, we got patched to 1.57 and got SI yesterday...
Acktivated SI and waited for the delayed patch and gameservers to come up...once they got up I rolled my sylvan druid and started playing in Domnan...
Everything runs verry smoothly on my computer...(uploaded my DxDiag so you could check it out)..Got all settings on best quality ...

Anyway ran smoothy played for like 2 hours without any problems...

Then when I logged on today with my level 50 Enchanter... I took horse from DL towards Connla...but when passing Howth the compute suddenly frooze...

Hmm I thought like ok prolly some 1 time thing...
Reboot and logg on ... Crash again after a few secs of turning around..

Reboot try it again but this time I stay completly stil... seems to work if I dont move...
I move the camera down and turn the other way facing back howth wow its works... and turn again BAM freezes again...
SO now with alot of testing ive noticed daoc freezing everytime I face that direction...

I logg my alts on and try playing some...works fine.
Beeing in DF, Ardee, DL all seems to work. took horse towards Howth again and same thing happens...

Then when checking with 2nd alt I seem to have forogt to bind Jump key...so i continue to parthfarm hence I took horse from ardee...at parth farm I take horse back and BAM...I freeze infront of Mag Mell...
Trying same thing facing other dirs and so on without freezing..but when facing Mag mell daoc freezes....

What ive tried to do is reinstall daoc, SI, get newest drivers for gfx card, newest VIA 4in1 drivers and some other AGP drivers...

And I dont get it to work... im running windows 2000..and I know its not supported by daoc but ive asked around alot and many seem to have windows 2000 and working without any problems...

So the issue really is whats with it freezing up when I face a specific direction...ive tried to decrease clipping range and put all settings to minimun quality...

Sounds like they're missing a file used in the Mag Mell area. Missing texture or model or something. Try to access it and boom. Hope they find it and get it patched (or get Mythic to patch it this afternoon at least).

Hmmm well the thing is there aint any1 more that got this problem...afaik...

and the problem occurs atm around howth facing SW..
Mag Mell Facing TNN, Connla Bridge Facing Connla town..

Reinstalling DirectX after drivers etc didnt seem to work...argh!!!

tried repairing the SI install? used the 'check all files' option on the patcher?

Dunno what else to suggest.
