hey
my mate has an Athlon XP 1800, asus A7n8x m/b, 512 ddr ram and letting the side down a Riva TnT 2 pci. (on XP pro)
now si can run for ages then just crashs, then start crashing every few mins. its 100% not a heat problem, he had a fan sat next to it all day yesterday.
Blue screen errors has been: NFM_LIST_CORRUPT and IRQ_LIST (something or other, cant remember),(remembered looking on microsoft and it was something to do with i/o devices)
we tried using my GeForce 2 and i worked perfect for two hours but then it booted to desktop every 5 mins after that, possibly that was just an driver fault.
please please please help for he will end up wrecking my house if it dont work soon
ty
p.s have tried getting latest mb drivers and a range of gfx drivers have been tried, his hard drive does have bad sectors but they aint in use. but still have the file.chk files on XP.
