Shoulder problems?

Right, woke up a couple nights ago with a bit of a sharp pain shooting down my shoulder to my elbow, didn't think much of it and it died down some by the end of the day, however since then it has flared up immensely to the point where I cant sleep or operate that well without a painkiller, even then I'm waking up ( such as now ) with my arm to hand in pain and not able to get rid of it.

Just wondering if anyone knows what it could be?

Shooting pain from top of shoulder to elbow when I lift it to head height
Dull ache down to my hand which tingles
No pain when above head
Stiff movement but no sign of inflammation (though sunburn could hide this)
Pain when rotating it
Loads of pain having slept for a few hours but not much during day

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome as not sleeping is gash.

Not masturbating before going to bed means no sleep either. So not an option.

go to your GP right away, and try to get some physical therapy for it. I had a bad case of RSI in October of last year, and the only thing that really helped was the therapy I got.

imo no. if you take pain killers you will still have a fucked shoulder, you just won't feel it. also, I am hesitant to advise you the exercises my PT gave me, because I don't want you to do stuff that may mess you up.

all I can really say is, don't *not* use your arm. keep using it for everything you would normally do with it, within reason.

surely the US is the land of health exploitation? you haven't got a chance to pop by a physical or manual therapist for a brief consult? imo sports PT's are the best ones, and if an exercise they give you doesn't hurt like fook then you're doing it wrong.

You pay for everything in the US or you don't get treated. Comes down to whether you have medical insurance to cover you while over there I guess.

I haven't a clue where one would be tbh or where I would go about finding one.

I know he's going to have to pay for it. Tbh I'd rather pay 50 dolla long time happy end than walk around with a fucked shoulder. My RSI fucked me up to the point I couldn't even shift gears in my car or touch a computer mouse with my right hand.

google your location and then sports physical therapist or something. or better, doctor. doctor doctor doctor. that will surely be covered by your insurance? you may have to front the cash, but your insurance will get it back to you. in fact, the doc may be able to bill your insurer directly.

in fact, your insurance may insist on you having seen a doc first. so just do that bro. don't walk about hurting, it messes you up.

Sounds like the trapped nerves I used to get before they rebuilt my shoulder.

Some decent massage (not the type that you'd like just before you go to sleep) should cure it. Osteopath (sp?) also might be able to help.

Do NOT try what I used to do which was to hang from something for as long as possible. Fixed it for 4 hours or so and then came back even worse and thrice as buggered.

In traditional FH doctor speak I'm sure I should say something like brain aneurysm...

Missys said a massage would cure it, some Chinese were offering a pretty cushy one on the cheap and I past on it... Oh the regret.
