Should i buy EU version?

so.
I have now played US servers for about 2 years.
I have 4 lvl 50 chars.

minstrel-lanc
reaver-lanc
nightshade-mlf
druid-merlin

with around a total of 2,5 mill rps.
i have been wondering if EU is worth my money/time?

The reasons are:
1) I want Europe times coz i live in Denmark.
2) Im tired of my realms/classes
3) I want to try NOT having everything again.
4) Something new is needed after 2 years.


Any answers are helpful

imo, i would love to play US servers simply because they don't have to deal with..... GOA... but that's how i think.

EU servers are only 2 english servers (only 2 realms out of 3 .. ).. and VERY bad customer service, sometiems they even act as if we don't exist (now is a good example).

They fuckup things over and over again (GOA).....but other then GOA (which ruins EU servers) i see no problems with them.

But if i were you, i would rather play a new realm on another US server I think.

That's how i think.

it's not all bad - people are somewhat sore at the moment coz GOA got hacked and had to send out passwords to everyone again - means we've had no CS for the past week or two which isn't good.

That said, most of the time it's fine, you don't get the latest version straight away - we're usually about 2-3 months behind the US live servers. Means you can prepare for nerfs etc. though :) and we get the final working version of a patch usually ;)

We also get a bit more RP npcs on the server - e.g. a cat that follows you around camelot, children that make fun of inconnu, an old Saracen sage in campacorentin station who talks to you about the origins of the saracens...

not sure if that floats your boat though :)

If you want good RvR - I'd say excal is very active in RvR, it's a fairly populous server, zergs in emain, groups in odins, noone in HW as per usual... but might be better if it's on your timezone.

Can't really say much for Prydwen as I've not played there enough.

well, main reason IS the US, primetime is NOT European primetime...so when i play at 6 or 7 pm its only what 12pm in US...which kinda sux ALOT. Goa i can prolly learn to live with, mythic doesnt really help you in game either so...

i dont have the time to play the looong nights as i used too...so thats my biggest problem.

my only problem in recommending the EU to you is that you say yer bored of your realm - do you mean as in the hib/alb classes? :)

please don't roll a savage and join the rest of the fotm club :( :)

go hib to be honest - they need the population :)

well as you can see i have 2 50 hib chars...
but hibernia has population problems everywhere, US and EU...dont think i will roll a savage fotm class tho, prolly healer/shammy/warrior or something....

hibernia is a nice place, just lvling there SUX way too much, Focus Pulling is making it so lame...and i would think EU uses that too...so please no hib for me thx.

and i take it albion population is big enough as it is...so it wont be alb either...hehe :p

albions not too bad - the population is slightly in favour to albion over midgard on excal but it's not a huge difference. Mid _seems_ more active in RvR than alb.

Don't get much focus pulling in albion thankfully.

The worst thing about EU version is all the gimps who whine about GOA on the Barrysworld forums. Honestly, GOA are not as bad as people like to make out.

I think new registrations are open again - so you might as well :)

albion needs more skill and tactics (tm) (or savages) it's as cliqued as usual, several alliances.

Midgard seems to be a hive mind when it comes to keep defence.

Hibernia's just ikkle.

Midgard has lots of fotm gank groups at the moment - lots of savages, shamans, healers maybe the odd zerk for pf :p

I say buy it. Even if you play for a month and decide you don't want to play EU, it's only £10 or whatever, not like you loose much.

Not all in mid is savages/healers. In fact we miss alot of shamans and other tanks....

well. no matter of GOA beeing asses or not. i bought the freaking EU version 5min ago...lol store right next to the place i work had em...lmao and i thought i was gonna order it and wait 2 weeks or so.../victory for checking the obvious! :p

hope the registration pages are up soon - signs are promising - people are getting their passwords.

Rumours abound that the subs/registration pages are working but overloaded (and they say "try again later" when they're overloaded) so it's promising at least :)

I just bought myself the EU version, and ill be playing midgard Excalibur. :)

Ill be playing under Xarac or Xargar.
hope to have one of them open to choose from :p

i have to disagree with you there, this is not a moan/whinge whatever cos i live with it, but....

GOA are absolutely shit! They cant translate properly, their customer service just isnt there, right now is shit and you rarely get a response and the paying public are let down time and time again.

I mean, at one time half my items were still written in french ffs!

GOA are piss poor, but we live with it...well, some of us do!

Only switch if you feel the server you are on is underpopulated in the hours you play.

*Only* advantage of GOA servers is the number of european players.

The actual service is inferior in every respect.

I have played this game since the beginning and never had any problems with GOA! Though I thrashed this game, but that has nothing to do with GOA. Its just that I really dont like the spellcrafting and /level, I think it has made this game pointless. Why explore the world and hunt for nice drops when you just can have someone spellcraft you one ubersuite and some uberweapons. Though some people might like it, let them have fun then.
