Shock. Horror. I look good in a suit

You know when your gran knits you a sweater that is 5 sizes too big and you'll told you'll grow into it, as you sit there with your arms only half way down the sleeves? Well, that is basically what I looked like the last time I wore a suit.

I tried that suit on last night and when I breathed out the button popped from the trousers :(

Just bought 2 suits, 2 shirts and a new tie today for £200 and, looking in the mirror, it seems that my body has changed to allow me to pull off this suit wearing malarky.

So, anyone else able to pull off suit wearing, or are you a "you'll grow into it one day" person?

I look good in suits (I'm told - so it may or may not be true) and I actually enjoy wearing them. Only naff thing is that they make me sweat like a bloke wearing rain togs in a sauna :/

Four days a week? Poor you.

But the way to go is natty waistcoats. And a pimp hat.

...on the other hand if you want to become a rich and sucessfull business man (like myself) and have beautiful secretaries waiting on you hand and foot, then the suit is essential for most.

Bad luck. I just went in and said, "I need a suit". 20 minutes later, 2 suits bought :)

One for interview and one for funeral. (Well, someone I know has to die someday)

I just spent the entire day looking for an off the shelf suit. In the end I got one from M&S in Manchester. This is the 1st time I've ever bought anything from marks but I looked the fucking mutts nuts.

(Its a sandy coloured number in a soft italian cotton, I bought it for a wedding and wore it with a shirt with a winged pimp collar and huge silk tie. I strutted all night :D )

I look the daddeh in a suit, even though my suits are cheap and from Burtons.

Can anyone recommend the best place to go to get something really smart yet stylish, hardwearing, comfy and vaguely affordable?

I've long wanted a really good suit. I love suits and I think they're important, and there's definitely truth to anyone looking fantastic in a good enough suit...but where do I go for such a beast? (You can tell I'm single again).

Don't recommend Moss Bros. I am tall and lanky, and needed to mix and match a jacket and trousers from their range, and they said you can't do that. After having a go about them about how modern men don't fit into strict size categories and that their company must be effing brainless to turn money I stormed out. And probably had a good cry.

Would anyone recommend getting one tailored specifically? I'd guess that's prohibitively expensive...?

I have tailored suits, but for general wear you cant beat M&S.

They cater to tall people and the quality is fine

I got mine form good old Ciro Citario. In fact, I've always got my suits from there. The staff are friendly, and not in a, "I need to mesaure your inside leg again" way.
