I've managed to build a netherportal, go through it, and end up in someone elses base.

Problem is, ive gone looking for it and totally bloody lost! Any ideas? lol

Also, im not sure if I've found a stronghold or not, or someones base. Theres chests, but its full of crap like maps, wood and glass. Bit odd I'd of thought. So not sure if I should take or not? I've not touched it to play it safe.

Good chance, if you came through portal is that you're still in someone elses place. Unless this stronghold is clearly another place.

You can pretty much tell by the chests, if it's random stuff at low item stacks, most likely it's not a player owned.

Now on the lost bit; can't help without cheating

Im totally lost lol. I might have to setup temporary camp till cho can get the map plugin reinstalled.

I went looking for my gaff, but Ive not been able to find it, unfortunately.

The stronghold is in the middle of no where, and its like you say pretty random loot in low amounts (like 3 diamonds, but 60 half glass?). Theres a lot of torches about though, thats what threw me.

Nah, Rulkes is where I ended up. Thats how I got lost in the first place, looking for my gaff from Rulkes!

Yeah that is player made, never seen anything like that spawn by random.

Strongholds are made of stone and usually underground.

My portals around x= -927 z= 432, just hit F3 to see your coords and head in that direction. From there you can take the nether portal to toht's or your place is SE of mine (map SE, ie bottom right on a map)

I had to do some digging to get mats, so ill leave some stone in the chests to replace anything I may of inadvertently damaged.
