Shield used on self?

Just a silly thing but. I use a shield style after i block, then my char decides to take a nappie and wait a good 4 sec to hit again(which looks like the same amouont the mob is waiting). The weap is atm 2.5 spd so it shouldn't take that long to hit. Just wondering if our boys in middie go bashing their own heads in with those shields.

Use a shield with a smaller delay

Yep. If you use a large shield, it's rather slow... afaik, after shield style, you have the shield timer for one round, not the weapon's one.

shields have speeds...

towers are a lot slower than heaters - means your slam/whatever does more damage, but longer between hits.

i always thought i was hitting slow when i did Slam but i think it only seems slow because your waiting for the mob to take its turn but you never see the action, so it seems long but its the right time.

Think the size of the shield also affects the amount of endurance you use. The bigger the shield the more end.

Shield size also effects the amount of people you can block at one time, ie. Small round shield = 1 person

Yes it does.

I hold 2 shields my nice big one for guarding and regular fighting and my little black one for when I want to stun depending on particular circumstances.
