Absolutely average and quite boring I thought.

Enjoyable, not amazing. The interactions between holmes and watson were a bit weird. Plus it didnt make any fucking sense whatsoever.

Seen a lot worse. Which is damning with faint praise I know, but it had its moments and tbh I can watch Robert Downey Jr in anything.

One thing:
The bomb thing is under Westminster and they come to the surface at Tower Bridge? WTF? I know Guy Ritchie isn't really a cockney but I didn't realise he was actually an American

I always like Downey Jnr, he was the only thing that made it worth it. I think a really dark film would have been much better than a quipy 'apples and pears' cockney knees up.

The ending was very odd, lost a lot of marks from me for that. But the visualisation of London in the late 19th century and the portrayal of Holmes and Watson were excellent. And Downey Jnr actually managed an English accent!

Robert Downey Jr. won an Oscar back in '92 for playing Charlie Chaplin. He's no stranger to English accents :)

Not seen this yet but will get around to it as it looks quite fun :)

Jr made that film watchable, not a fan of Jude Law, but it was an enjoyable film for a sunday afternoon.

Saw this last night. I enjoyed it but its just pure popcorn. The awesome logic that is the legend of Sherlock Holmes wasn't much in evidence.

But still: good fun.

Oh and beautifully shot for the most part.

Mark Strong making a nice career out of playing bad guys, a joy to watch really :)

Robert Downey Junior carried the film. Not the first time he's done that ;)

Yeah it was all kinds of awesome, and can be watched many times without getting old. It's a real shame there are no solid plans for a sequel, those characters could have a lot of mileage in them.

Saw it liked it, sherlock holmes enough and a nice personal touch.

Could've skipped a few parts to make it a bit shorter, but as such, thoroughly enjoyable movie and worth it.

I'd say akin to bad boys 2, perhaps brothers grim.

I agree with Roo. I enjoyed it, except for the teenagers talking on the back row!
